"...there is no need to start at the beginning..."
Controversial? Do you always start a #series at the first published book? And what do you do if they aren't translated in order? #crimefiction
TrishB I can‘t read out of order! Picked up a book last night and realised it was 3rd in a series and had to order the first two! 7y
Beckys_Books Must read in order 7y
rabbitprincess I don't usually read mystery series in order. I want the main case to be interesting, and if the main case I find most interesting is the 6th book in the series, so be it. 7y

charl08 @TrishB oh dear. Let's skip over the fact this isn't book one then! 7y
charl08 @Beckys_Books good to be clear... 7y
charl08 @rabbitprincess I blame years of limited library stock for my attitude to series order: take what you can, because it might not be there next week! 7y
RidgewayGirl I prefer to start with a later book in a series. Authors and series tend to get better as they go. 7y
charl08 @RidgewayGirl I wish I could claim my approach was so well considered. 7y
