I needed something light this week, so I grabbed Slouch Witch from Kindle Unlimited. It was just what I needed. A quirky, independent and self-proclaimed lazy heroine and a hot, if stuffy, love interest. Magic misadventures and mysteries ensue. I‘ve spent the week binging on the series and am disappointed I am cracking the cover on the last one. #urbanfantasy #paranormalromance

Box of Frogs (no listing) was fun—the heroine is snappy, frequently veers into tstl, & is matched with an irritated but powerful man—but it ends in a big cliff-hanger—next part out end of July. I didn‘t like that—tho I once released a novella in parts. To all those readers: I‘m sorry!!

Trying to finish up the last of this audiobook by the fire at my parents‘ house. My dad always makes the best fires.

BTW, I‘m loving this book. So much so I already bought the next two ebooks. 🙈

Not only did I start another book, I started another audiobook. I needed something lighter and this really fits the bill. It makes me smile like a loon while I‘m walking.

Also, isn‘t this tree gorgeous! This tree is reason I love fall. 🍁 I wish it was in my yard. Most of my trees just turned brown before dropping. 🍂

The link was shared by a friend who knew I was looking for more titles in the genre. In the podcast, Sarah and Amanda were raving about Slouch Witch so maybe that should be my next read.

Urban fantasy set in Oxford with a unique set of magic rules and an order full of middle management wizards! The heroine is kicked out of the order in her first year, she get accidentally bound to the hero who‘s a hot stick-in-the-mud. Plus a great mystery and a talking (swearing) cat familiar!

Ivy is an interesting character, and who doesn't enjoy a two-extreme-characters-forced-to-work-together storyline? The mystery was good enough that I didn't immediately spot whodunnit. Overall, good enough for me to pick up the next book straight away.

I really enjoyed this. The main character Ivy (love her name) is so comical and I felt reminded of myself on a few occasions! Her love/hate relationship with Raphael Winter was so easygoing and a joy to listen to. Overall, very happy with my first audible read but gutted that the second and third books aren't on audible! #audible #audiobook
