Escargot is a cute story about a french snail named, of course, Escargot. He only wants 2 things; Escargot wants to be your favorite animal and get to the salad at the end of the book. Escargot is a modern fantasy book written by Dashka Slater and Sydney Hanson. This book would be a fun storytelling book or read aloud to your class as your students will fall in love with Escargot.

This resource provides fun activities to use along with the storytelling or RA of Escargot. There is a little poem in this resource and provides a way for students to be active while reading or listening to the poem.

This book is absolutely precious and can be used perfectly for ESOL infusion. If there were french students in your class this would be a great opportunity to incorporate 24. incorporate the culture and language of ELL‘s in your curriculum. This F book is great for a RA or a S. This https://images.macmillan.com/folio-assets/activity-guides/9780374302818AG.pdf lesson plan features a racing activity including building a pulley system.

ebrown This lesson plan complies with UDL provide options for expression and communication (5.2). #ucflae3414f19 5y
MarkZalewski Good post, this book looks like a good one to share in class 5y
alexblanco This is awesome to incorporate ESOL students (French) in the class! I think it‘s so important to include books with multiple languages in the classroom. 5y

Alexush This looks like a super cute book! I would love to read it. 5y
Jgolub13 This book definitely looks like a good one for ESOL students. I also love word play in the title 5y
YesseniaN Not only is the picture of the book the cutest thing ever but the inclusion is amazing and you can do this with any EL that‘s in your class. 5y
Jewelwinkler First of all, it‘s great that this book could be used with French students. I feel like here in the U.S. we often don‘t recognize that we have such a variety of cultures in the classroom. I feel like this book would make any student smile but especially if that student were from France or spoke French! Also your activity looks so fun and interactive! 5y
DrSpalding The front cover looks very cute however the summary does not tell me what the book is about. I do like the idea that another language is shared? 5y

#SeptemberDanes Day 13: #BonjourMadame says this adorable snail. I didn‘t realize that a scarf-wearing, cheeky Snail can be trez magnifique! But he is certainly kiss-able – just look at that long neck and those tentacles. I like how Escargot constantly engages the reader in conversation, racing the child reader into the next page. This is the cutest book ever! 🐌 are my favorite Gastropods, and Escargot's journey to the salad at the end of this book was a lot of fun. This would be awesome read aloud! #kidlit #picturebook

JaclynW How cute! I need to read this to my kids. We went to France this summer and my kids kept daring each other to eat escargot. No one ended up eating any. 😄😄😄 7y
EvieBee @JaclynW Lol! That sounds like a perfect lead up to this book. Sadly, I have indulged but that was before I really appreciated them after reading (edited) 7y
