I always have to walk by the “New Books” shelf when I visit the library. This title caught my eye. When I learned about Williams Syndrome in nursing school, I recognized it (almost positive) in a child of a classmate. I know the child was being treated for the physical manifestations, but there was no Williams diagnosis. Lost contact after awhile when that family moved out of state. This story of Eli was quite an interesting read.

Don't expect it to be just a story of a boy with William's syndrome and his mom's struggles to raise him and cope with her child's disability. It's also informational and presents the reader with facts, statistics, and discoveries that are relevant to WS. I liked that it wasn't just informational and that it included Gale's and Eli's experiences, it made it more personal. I just wish I knew how Gale and Eli are doing now.

#Audiocrocheting Listening to this one while working on designs for some new bookmarks. I crocheted this one today and I love it. I just think it may be a bit too thick and that I may need to get thinner yarn. What do you all think? Would you use this or do you think it's too thick?

An interesting nonfiction story of a single mother whose son struggles with William's Syndrome (A loss of genetic material in a Chromosome 7). Where typical autistic individuals display an introvertedness, William's patients express a more extrovertness that at times not appropriate in social situations. An eye opening look into another spectrum of disabilities.

Wow, I need to get my hands on this book. It's about a boy with a rare genetic disorder that makes him incapable of mistrust. Here's an article about the book and the disorder.
