Meh. I didn‘t enjoy The Alchemist, so why did I even read this? Not sure but it was on my bookshelf and I‘m in quarantine. I‘m also not religious so this book is probably great for some people, just not for me. #quarantinereads

This book is weird. That's probably not the best way to word a review, but that's my first thought. I feel like I just kind of spent my time reading it, but didn't get anything out of it. Just odd. This one is a pan for me. I don't hate it, I just kind of wish I had my time back. 😕

After re-reading this, my love for it did not lessen but it actually grew. I am not a fan of Paulo Coelho but this one is exceptional. It is a combination of religion and love. It is sad and happy at the same time. I really do love the ending. It had an unexpected twist in the end which I truly love. I love Pilar's character, I can easily relate to her, her insecurities, her fears and her dreams.

I recommend this to everybody.

"No, I'm not mistaken. I know you don't love me. But I'm going to fight for your love. There are some things in life that are worth fighting for".

Casmt You seem like the one to ask! I haven't read Coehlo for ten years and now I want to reread I can't decide where to start! Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe here, by the river? 8y
Incrosas Hey, sorry I didn't reply earlier. But yes! I love his work and there's 2 books I would recommend if u want to start his work, the alchemist and by the river. Did you end up reading it? 8y
