I'm going to go all out with my goals this month. So far in 2024 I haven't been all that productive with my reading, but I'm feeling extra motivated at the moment. So my goals for #FabulousFebruary are to finish 7 books in 7 days. I got a good head start as I finished my reread of the tagged book this morning. Hoping to finish Infinity Gate later today. 🤞

In this installment Reacher sees someone he saw die a decade ago which leads to an abduction of a college kid and then the fun begins.

As always Lee Child has me on the edge of my seat, wanting to look away but unable too. He is also the only author I will read paragraphs upon paragraphs about bullets and not be bored stiff. Such a great storyteller. I love his writing style.

Another fantastic book in the series.

StayCurious Are you going to watch the new show? 3y
Michellesibs @StayCurious Potentially, I'll see what early reviews are first. Will you? 3y
StayCurious @Michellesibs my husband is a huge Jack Reacher fan and he says the casting is perfect so yes, I‘m looking forward to trying it. I aim to read Killing Floor first, which I think the first season is based on. 3y
Michellesibs @StayCurious Yeah I am glad this new series will do the books in order and let's be honest, it can't be worse than the Tom Cruise version! 3y

Jack Reacher, crime fighting drifter with super-hero-like strength and fighting prowess, sees a criminal mastermind he thought he killed years ago walking alive down the street and joins a DEA team investigating one of his underlings (because yeah, federal law enforcement just allows things like that, LOL). I liked how you get a bit of Reacher's MP background in this one.

The attention to detail is the best part of any Jack Reacher book, and that I think is it's undoing as well. The details in action and fight sequence is very immersive,I felt I was in the middle of all the action but at times it feels stretched and unnecessary. This is a really entertaining book, kept you hooked as well, could have been shorter by at least 30 pages.

3+: I hesitate to give this 4 stars. I didn't care for the frequent flashbacks (though I appreciate what the backstory contributed overall). I'm a fan of the series and will continue making my way through (now working in order; I've read several subsequent installments).

jillrhudy Ooooo I wish I had those for the library. Our older titles fell apart. 5y
JoyBlue @jillrhudy That's what happens when you love them too much, huh?! 😉 I'm missing a handful in the series. Early on, I passed on a few books because I had already read them from the library (and DH pushed against). Then, once those early books weren't showing up at library sales anymore, I realized I “need“ the whole series. Sigh. So, I'm on a quest! 5y

I still love Jack Reacher even though this was not one of my favorites. 💕💕 It was hard for me to get into the crime/mystery Jack was trying to solve. It just wasn‘t that interesting and I found it complicated at times. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

JSW Please tell me about this yellow thing you‘ve propped your phone on. 🤩 6y
TheSpineView @JSW I have one on purple. Great to prop your kindle up with while reading in bed. I think I found on Amazon. 6y
NatalieR @JSW It‘s called a book pyramid. I bought it at my local indie several years ago. I‘m sure you can find one on Amazon like @TheSpineView did. It‘s great for holding books and my iPad. 💛 6y
TheSpineView @JSW you're welcome.😊 6y

Best part about this book was finishing it in front of the fire pit. 💖📚🔥

⭐️⭐️⭐️ The story was good, but just not my cup of tea.
