A woman spends all that time in prison yet doesn‘t seem hardened and shows no ill effects from it?

From the start, I knew this was going to be a wonderful holiday read! A story about starting over and second chances with a holiday twist. It had every element I was looking for in a holiday read to cheer my spirit and get me in the mood. Though there was a couple of sadder elements, they are also what helped to make this story so special. 5⭐

Another fun, quick Christmas read. Falsely convicted Lena Markham tries to start over in a new town after her release from prison, but her felony conviction makes it difficult. She makes some friends and finds a calling, even if it‘s only temporary. She spreads some Christmas cheer. (FYI: This book is definitely Christian fiction.) As someone who is starting over (but not after a prison sentence!), I found this book heartwarming and encouraging.

My teenager is on a #Christmas reading kick and wants company! We‘re starting this one now, but I think I will start another book along with this one. This is a re-read for me.

There's a light-hearted #holiday feel about this book, a story that centers around redemption and hope. #lyricalapril
