The English Roses: Too Good to be True | Madonna

My lovely elderly neighbour let me cut a bunch of the last autumn roses from his front garden today. We‘ve lived next door to him for 30yrs now, we unfortunately lost his wife, Sheila, to cancer a few years ago so we look out for him, especially now. Aren‘t they beautiful? They‘re David Austen roses, they‘re both English expats so Sheila tried to keep a part of the old country with her. #keeplitsypositive #bloominglitsy #isolationinteractions

Read this during #24in48 . Been on my #tbr shelves forever! Bought because of Madonna. Lovely illustrations(not by Madonna), and a sweet story.

Texreader I was a Madonna fan in the 80s. I have loads of her singles. Yes vinyl singles. In high school I spent most of my spare money on books and music. It was only $5 to gas up my VW so I had lots of spare cash from my jobs. #oncean80sgirlalwaysan80sgirl. You nailed that hashtag. 8y
