A fun and interesting take on one of my childhood favorite detective teams 😆 The style is of noir - which was what made it interesting. Heck, I just simply enjoyed reading and seeing Nancy, Frank and Joe. Brought back fun memories of when I read their separate series (and team-up series) as a kid. I‘d definitely pickup the next volume when it becomes available 😉

Still, you don‘t need to know every piece of micro trivia about the brothers Hardy or my beloved titian-haired beauty to enjoy the hell out of this noir take on dirty crime in idyllic Bayport. It is a genuinely gripping mystery full of blood, grit, betrayal and great trench coats.

I won a giveaway and got this graphic novel which arrived today! I read it on Hoopla but now I have my very own copy which will be handy when I need to reread before the next one comes out.
(Shame on the UPS delivery person who left it on my uncovered doorstep not wrapped in plastic so that the box was covered in snow by the time I got home. Luckily the book was ok, but if I hadn't gotten home when I did, who knows.)
pickI got this thanks to @queerbookreader letting us know it was free for Kindle. I settled in to read and then it was over ? It's just one issue so it's super short and intriguing; a darker, broody, almost noirish version of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. This one was focused on the "boys" (young men) and I'm excited to read the following issues.
Post-overnight shift new arrival read. I looooved Nancy Drew as a kid, and to a lesser extent the Hardy Boys, so I‘m really excited for this new take where the Hardy Boys are suddenly the accused and Nancy is trying to solve the case. The first issue takes you right into the drama of this hard boiled mystery so you want to know what happens next. I honestly can‘t find any fault in this intro to the series. If the rest of the issues are this good this is an excellent comic.

pickI loved this modern retelling of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys! As a huge fan of these 2 franchises I was not disappointed. I loved the old school style drawings and the mystery was perfect. Except there was no kidnapping. There should definitely be kidnapping in the next volume. I loved little touches like Tom Swift and the Bobbsey Twins and Nancy having a blue VW convertible. I am looking forward to more installments in this series!
