“silver effing mercant“
Not my normal genre, but I really enjoyed the world building.
Silver is trying to change the image of her people from predators to possible allies. She is poisoned and moved into a warebear den to be safe and build up the alliance between their peoples. Can she build bridges between the species and avoid the people who want to destroy them?
3/5 fun world and lots of world building with a dose of spice. I like that the world building is so strong
This was a great intro into the new season of the Psy-Changeling series. We get a known character plus the alpha of a changeling group we haven't met before. A great transition from old to new.
This is book, I dunno 15? 16? They've all been great, but pretty much the same. But this? This book is A MASTERPIECE. The accent, the character, the plot. I'm not someone who cries at books, but I cried the whole way home while this was playing in my car and I keep putting this on pause SO I DON'T KEEP CRYING. 😭😭. It's SO good. I'm dyyiing, guys. Send chocolate.
I love Nalini‘s books, and especially the changelings!
In this one we get to see a bear pack (not frequently mentioned in the other books) living in Russia, whose Alpha Valentin falls for leader of the EmNet, seemingly silent psy Silver ‘fucking‘ Mercant.
I love how the romances develop in these novels, and the characters, but still maintain that all of the males would drive me mad in real life!

These are sexy spines to me! The colours, the faces, even the font!🤩 I may be slightly biased cause I really do love these books😜🤩😜

Only a third through, and while I like it, Singh‘s style is starting to be mechanical, and devices such as cute infants of various species feel more like cheesy ads meant for emotional manipulation. The management of familiar tropes is a delicate balancing act in #romantsy
Ooooooo I LoVeD ❤️ 💕 Valentin & Silver. After so many in this series, they just keep getting better. So fun to see where this is going.
This year I am going to focus on books I already own, to try and reduce that gigantic tbr I have!
However, I cannot resist Nalini Singh, Patricia Briggs, Kim Harrison, and Cassandra Clare (even though I am behind on the series) and so I am reducing the amount of books I buy this year to just those authors... we will see how long I last! 🤣

Another great Psy-Changeling novel 😍 I was so excited to read Silver‘s story and loved the bear changelings. It was the usual funny, heart wrenching and sexy book by Singh. (And Bo‘s story is next!!) #romantsy #romance #paranormalromance
I've been re-reading books lately instead of reading what I am supposed to (hello 30 library books patiently waiting). I have reread all the Raphael and Elena books from Singh's Guild Hunter series and am now re-reading the last few Psy Changeling books.
I have managed to find a lot favourites this year but these are my top 6 so far this year.
In no particular order here are my favourites so far this year:
Silver Silence by @authornalinisingh
Amour Amour by @kbmritchie
The Thing About Love by @juliejamesauthor
Devil in Spring by @lisakleypas
The Hating Game by @sallythorneauthor
Kiss the Sky by @kbmritchie
Day 20: Favourite book so far #booksacrossoceans
This was such a great book!!! Now I need to wait for the next one!
I love my library! We now have cloud library and I managed to snag the newest Singh book when it became available! Yay!
I've been waiting on this book from the library forever and it finally came in! ...and now I don't have time to read. 😭
Finished the lasted in the Psy/Changeling series. As always I enjoyed the characters, both primary and secondary. I do wish there was a bit more going on with the villains. They were a bit of an afterthought in this novel. But a fun read.
A great start to a new trilogy from Nalini Singh. I loved the chemistry between these two and I am more than a little smitten with Valentin. He is a total bear and I loved the secondary characters. So sweet! Silver is such a strong character, particularly in her willingness to take charge and make chang. Between her and Valentin it was a total slow burn romance. I also thought there was plenty of great world building and I loved the setting in
Silver Silence is the first book in a new series set in the Psy/Changeling world.
Silver and Valentin are so real they leap off the page. Their love story is unique and wonderful. I adored all the new characters that were introduced in this book and welcomed the short cameos of familiar favourites.
As always when I finish a Nalini Singh book I'm at once happy and satisfied, and desperate for the next book😍.
Nalini Singh always manages to make me believe that the world might have some good in it, even when she's writing about alternate universes with psychics and shape shifters. ❤️🐻🐾✨🌄🌌 💛

ARC Review: Silver Silence by Nalini Singh with @BerkleyPub. I had so much fun with Valentin, our first changeling bear of the series! http://bambi-unbridled.blogspot.com/2017/06/arc-review-silver-silence-by-nalini....

It's release day for this Nalini Singh book! I think I'm more excited than normal because I read it months ago but couldn't talk to anyone about it without spoiling it.
Silver fucking Mercant and all those bears! Loved this instalment, as the overall story of the series moved forward nicely, the political sub-plots got more murky, and the love story was beautiful!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this from NetGalley and read it immediately but have been having difficulty writing a review that doesn't spoil anything!
In Silver Silence, the focus is on Silver Mercant, her silence & emotions, and moving the world forward. The romance was very well done, and the conflict was well paced and interesting. An introduction to a new set of shifters and a Moscow location keep the details fresh and engaging.
You guys, bear changelings are so much fun. This hero is so much fun. With Psy in Silence pairing with a shifter, this book gave me the happy reading feelings I got while reading the first book years ago. I like where Singh is taking this series.
My next weekend read is an ARC of Nalini Singh's next book in her Psy-Changeling series. #currentlyreading #romantsy
I keep torturing myself by reading the first chapter of Silver Silence even though it won't be out for months. Somebody needs to block Nalini Singh's website from all devices for me :)
