This would be a great practice for students identifying the plot of a story. You could also come up with many great prompts for students to write about.

Week 3: Graphia. these are a classic. Especially the new and revised ones. The stories are so good and engaging. It also provides illustrations to help students gauge a better understanding of the story. The ones I looked at were a Graphic Novel Verison by Jenny Laird, but I didn‘t see them posted on Litsy. Published: Sept. 27, 2022.

This series has always been a hit within the elementary school classroom. The series is about a brother and sister, Jack and Annie, who discover a tree house in the woods filled with books about all different types of things around the globe. The soon discover that when they open and read small passages to these books, the tree house sends them to that location where they then have to solve the mystery before the return home for dinner.

I am so proud of the great readers both Eli and Emma have become...especially Eli. The Easter Bunny brought them their first chapter books. Junie B. Jones for Emma and Magic Tree House for Eli. They both dove in and Eli finished his in a weekend! Eli doesn't like to take too many pictures, but he was so proud of himself he agreed.

Reviewsbylola Adorable! My 6 year old didn‘t care so much for Magic Treehouse but she is LOVING Junie B! 5y

julesG @RachelO Thanks for thinking of me. I feel terrible right now. It's the cold turkey withdrawal and I know it will get better. Still. Every fibre of my body is screaming in agony. My walking hasn't got better yet, but it's early days. I need to remember to give my body time to heal. 6y
rockpools *hugs* Time is a good plan. Doesn't make it any easier tho. Hope today gets better. 6y

Magic tree house books are amazing modern fantasy books written by Mary Pope Osborne. This book would be great for an AS, or even as an IR. This book is about two siblings who discover a magic tree house! It sends them back in time when dinosaurs were alive. Throughout the book it teaches them about different historical events. And they have to try and find their way home. #UCFLAE3414SP18

V.DeQuattro Attached is an interview with Mary Pope Osborne. She talks about how she gets her stories ready for children to read and she also talks about her imagination and how she was able to write these fantastic books! https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=29s&v=e7kFwGLLW9Q 7y
V.DeQuattro EL strategy 16 is great for this book and an AS. It allows students to speak, listen, read, and write about the book and the author. A great UDL strategy would be 4.1. Allow various opinions of the book and how students found information on the author. 7y
DrSpalding Getting kids into books that are a part of the series is wise. They will then want to read more of the books! It‘s a win win. Amber. did a nice book boost related to this series and her childhood. 7y

V.DeQuattro Her book boost is the reason I read this book! I really liked it and I want to read some of the others as well. I will definitely encourage my students to read books that are part of a series. @DrSpalding 7y

ghosthost @Cinfhen Me too! Didn‘t like it when I was 14, which is supposedly the right age to read it. 7y
Cinfhen I did like it @ghosthost but I was closer in age to 34 than 14.....maybe that‘s why I liked it😉 7y
ghosthost @Cinfhen Oh! I misread your post. I didn‘t see the tag for @GypsyKat. 7y
Cinfhen And I read Catcher with my son who was 14 at the time... and he liked it too @ghosthost 😍 7y

This children's historical fantasy novel written by Mary Pope Osborne and illustrated by Salvatore Murdocca is a New York Times bestseller. Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark Best teaching strategy would be LC since this is a novel and not a picture book. Students can work together for the LC and help each other understand the content that is happening.

hannahl Before Jack and Annie can find out, the mysterious treehouse take them to the prehistoric past. Are they able to make it home in time before they become a dinosaur's dinner? The UDL is : 8.3 so children can collaborate together on reading the book and help one another with the vocab. ESOL: 47 because sharing pieces of information to solve the problems in the story will help each student understand the lesson being taught. #ucflae3414F17 7y
jvinas2 My cousin used to read the Magic Treehouse books all the time growing up; great description and resource as well. Awesome post! 7y
