Book mail and new reading blanket for me yay
It‘s a bit boring, as the movie. It has several flaws and I just don‘t really like it.
As fairytale retellings go I thought this one was a bit flat, the romance didn‘t feel very real and the characters didn‘t have much depth.
As a quick read it was okay, there is quite a lot of action and things going on that kept my interest, overall I just felt it was a bit wishy-washy.

1. I used to be obsessed with novelisations, my favourites are Red Riding Hood or Underworld🖤
2. Actually I preferred the movie for once😂
3. I would love to read a novelisation on the Scream movie, or Baby Driver!

Discount store book haul. 😇
My choice for #booktober #characteriddressupas is red riding hood as I am a very low effort halloween/fancy dresser. All you need is a red cloak then done.
For generations a werewolf has plagued a small village. The villagers make a monthly tithe to the wolf to keep it at bay. The tithe becomes not enough for the wolf during the bloodmoon. Valerie's sister becomes the first victim. Valerie has always been restless and wild, not like the other girls. Henry the blacksmith' s son wants her for his wife, but Valerie longs for Peter. Peter wants Valerie to runaway with him but the wolf lives among them.

Way better than the movie (like always)!
I loved the thrill of the drama the book was setup in. I felt so involved in the village drama. I love it from beginning to end. Also the bonus chapter online was a nice touch.
I'm getting into a bad habit of starting a new book when I'm not done reading another 😅
Oh well that's my life right now.

A retelling of a fairy tale always has promise for me, but this left me disappointed & angry. The characters were so flat & the "romance" was very limp and felt unreal. The gimmick of the last chapter being posted after the movie opens online left a nasty taste in my mouth. Don't waste your time & $
This book made me so angry. You get involved with a book, and it just ends with nothing. You have to watch the movie to find out how it ends. I was so pissed off that I couldn't watch the movie until 2 years after finishing the book. 👓👓
Didn't know what to expect with this but it turned out really good. I couldn't put it down
