Rabbits Snow Dance Master storytellers Joseph and James Bruchac present a hip and funny take on an Iroquois folktale about the importance of patience, the seasons, and listening to your friends. Cute telling of an Iroquois legend about why rabbits have short tails. My son particularly enjoyed rabbit‘s snow chant, and spent the next two hours running around the house yelling it, so maybe not a bedtime story. 😂

No snow days for the wicked! 👿

Did it snow so much that school was canceled? YES.
Do I work in a school? YES.
Do I have to go to work anyway? ALSO YES.

I work in a shape-shifting library, which operates as an elementary school library during the day & a public library after-hours. Normally, it‘s kind of a fun & interesting situation but when there‘s a snow day, we still have to go to work (at the Main Branch downtown). I took a 1/2 day. 🤷‍♀️

LA_Mead Awww... I always have to go in to work too. In my board, teachers have to still be in the building as part of some agreement even when there aren‘t kids there 😜 6y
monalyisha @LA_Mead Bummer! I wish we could just go our regular location to work instead of downtown. All of my stuff is there (for class visit planning & programs) & there‘s plenty to do. It‘d be so productive to have some time without the kids! Downtown, we just get busy work & projects that the people who actually work there have deemed too boring or distasteful. 😖 Complain, complain. 😆 I‘m just going to enjoy my book & coffee for the next little bit. 6y

Bookish_AF We never get snow days either ☹️ We had that heavy wet snow (same as you probably) that was up to my knees and I spent an hour desperately stuck in my driveway this morning because our plow guy hadn‘t come yet. We do have a snowblower. It was locked in the shed. My boyfriend had the only key to the shed on his key ring and he was still at work 🤦🏼‍♀️ lessons learned for next time 😂 6y

Anyone here like rabbits? 🐰🐇 Random I know, but I raise dwarf rabbits at my parents house, and I'm planning to visit this weekend. I have a new litter of mini rex that I hope to take pictures of 😄 (the bottom right is the mom, dad is black)
