A read when I was in high school and now years later I still enjoy this this book
I probably would have enjoyed this book heaps more if the ebook copy I read didn‘t have full spaces between every paragraph and no distinguishing factor for when it changed perspectives. I also don‘t have any nostalgia for this book. I am not down for a 15 year old wanting to date a 20-something year old. I also felt way more invested in Tibby and Carmen‘s stories than Bridget and Lena‘s. This just wasn‘t for me. 3⭐️
I posted about this 5 years ago but I finally finished The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! Take that Ms. Mora. 😝 Might come full circle and do Wuthering Heights next because I‘m pretty sure I skimmed for that project. This was my March #DoubleSpin I may continue the series.

Day 21: waiting to be read
I have a lot of books waiting to be read but I chose the series "the sisterhood of the traveling pants"

Coming back to this after 8 years was a pleasant experience. Think I‘ll just have to reread the whole series!

Apart they are a girl trying to find her way in the world, learning hard lessons and changing into the women they are becoming. Together they are a force and mighty.👭👭👖
Oh and a warning, the last book gutted me, I read it bawling in the breakroom at my job at the time.

Read this when you need a cup of comfort. A sweet memoire about the incredible bonds of friendship and coming of age. It will remind you of the layers of your own human soul‘s onion- that tender shallot you were long before. The characters were real, honest and interesting. It touches on challenging aspects of life and shed great light and wisdom. It was a bit predictable but that, in itself, kind of added to the enjoyment of this comfort read.
Kind of liked it but I feel like it's written by someone who has no clue whatsoever about how teenage girls behave. A bit unrealistic in my opinion. However, I can understand why this would be a fun read as a teenage girl. Maybe i'm just an old and bitter lady myself.

Best book ever! My friend circle reminds me of the sisterhood!
Was ok. Maybe if I‘d read this when I was younger, I‘d have loved it more. Might check out movie version
I know she‘s upset about her dad getting remarried but if I had thrown a rock in my family‘s home, idk what would have happened to me. I was gonna stop at that point but now I have to keep reading til I get to Carmen‘s next section now.
📖 tagged ! I loved these books when I was a teen!

I watched this movie for the first time this week when I learned it was leaving Netflix soon and then I decided to read the book. (Usually I‘m a book before movie type of person.) It‘s a quick YA read. I enjoyed the close friendship of the four girls. I found the rapidly changing viewpoint without obvious separations confusing. There were numerous times I didn‘t realize the narration had changed from one girl to another, but overall, a nice read.
I never actually read this as a teen so it was fun to experience now as an adult! A great summer read! It was fun to compare myself and my experiences with the different girls and storylines.
I finished the #disneyathon #disneyreadathon2019 2nd prompt! This book was amazing and I loved how it was told. I highly recommend this book and the movie version does depict the girls very well.

Since I couldn‘t find the book version on Scribd I found the audiobook version and so far is pretty damn good. The voice reader really captures each of the girls. This book is for my second prompt on the #Disneyathon of Li Shang feat. a squad. I thought about Six of Crows but I have it for another readathon prompt. So this book fits lol.
This book was my first thought for #SummerGirls because their adventures take place in the summer. #SongsofSummer
I needed to read a book turned into a movie for a book bingo I‘m participating in and decidedly to give this one a go, not expecting to enjoy it much because I love the movie but I was wrong! It was equally as good as the movie and now I can‘t wait to read the rest of the series. And It completed my bingo row. Fun times!
#songsofsummer #summertimeblues @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks What better way to celebrate summer than with these great summery books by Ann Brashares? A group of girls can miraculously all fit into the same pair of jeans and so, to stay connected throughout their summertime adventures, they share the pants. Really cute books🤗
The tagged book = summer to me 😄❤️☀️and I hope you‘ll check out the post by @rather_be_reading about her #litsyswap! #summerreadingswap so excited!
Coming from a place and community where arranged marriages are a way of life and completely normal, I understand Lena's exasperation. 'Love marriages' are usually frowned upon and considered as western culture by conservative Indians. I'm not trying to generalize over here but it's definitely not uncommon.
BTW, I'm loving this book!

I loved both parts 1 and 2 of the movie and now I'm finally reading the book.
I'm at chapter 2 and loving it so far.

Trying out a readathon for the first time! I'm about 16 hrs late to the party but better late than never.
I'll be reading the tagged book.
I know I must have read this as a teen but after finishing a re-read (?) of it today, now I‘m not sure. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! In fact, I originally picked this up because I am reading a much more emotionally draining book at the moment and needed something to lighten the mood. Well, didn‘t you know- I got hooked and ended up putting that other book aside while I finished this one first!
Read this for the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge (as a lot of the books I read this year will be!) the prompt was “a book with an item of clothing or accessory on the cover.” I have always wanted to read this book and found that it was okay. Cute story but not very fulfilling.
Experienced ALL the high school feels throwing it back to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and chatting about it with awesome teacher and bookstagrammer Katie Hartman (@katiefullybooked). There‘s so much more to this story than I realized — questions of sex, depression, death, blended familes, and more — PLUS (obviously) great friendships, romances, and a cool pair of jeans. Check out the link in my bio to listen! 🎧
Ahhhhh 😍 after like ten years (okaybe just ten weeks) of pestering her, my sister finally joined Litsy! She loves books, and is the coolest person I know. The only person in my life who understands my literate talk, my love for books, and my heart for all other things. I love you Sissybear!!!

First purchase from Book Outlet! #youngadult #bookoutlet
Well, went through that fast lol. I see now why I loved this as a teenager - because I could relate to all four girls in some way, even though they are all so different. Re-reading this also taught me something sad, and it's that I've outgrown this book. I am happy to be able to give another young girl the chance to love this book (*series) as much as I did.
This was a favourite of mine once upon a time (as evident from the worn cover). Bring on the nostalgia. ❤️
Four close friends + a pair of magical pants in one summer = adventures and frolicking fun, because #girlsjustwannahavefun !
#fiercefeb @Cinfhen @batsy
The two ends of my bookshelf. I start with YA series alphabetized by author, then stand alone YA books by author, then adult series by author and lastly, stand alone adult books by author. #24in48
Love it! Absolutely as important as Harry Potter.
#Friendship When I was younger, I wanted a friendship like these four had. So close, they were like sisters. It‘s the series I think of when I think of friendship. I haven‘t read the other book yet, but the back cover had a blurb about a unique friendship. #SpookyOctober
This used to be one of my all-time favorite books as a kid, so I was a little wary upon rereading it. It might be part nostalgia, but I still really liked this book! Especially the characters feel so real and sweet, and are still pretty relatable to me.
