Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house... And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care ❤️. do you all decorate the whole house in one shot or, a little bit here in a little bit there? I'm a little bit here in a little bit there. My work schedule dictates this but I also like to decorate a little, let it sink in, and then add some more, repeat. #TisTheSeason

#ReindeerReads day 14 - Whenever I hear the words #silentnight I think of three things: the song, my brother (born Dec 24 in the middle of the night), and Twas the Night Before Christmas. I've always loved the silence before so much activity, so much excitement, so much yummy food and talking on Christmas morning. 💚❤️
I LOVED this book growing up, and planned on buying a copy to read to my kids once we left CO (my mom still has her copy.) That's how I discovered it's been out of print since 1989 & is RULL HARD to find, especially at a price I was willing to pay. But! Finally got one & I am very pleased. (Litsy doesn't even have it in the lookup. Night Before Christmas is the last story in this compilation.)

A member of my Bible study made these adorable treats. They were labeled with quotes from Twas the Night Before Christmas. The mice were made with Kisses, chocolate-covered cherry with stem for tail and almond sliver ears. The reindeer ears were cut Tootsie Rolls, the body 2 Reeses, wrapped with a candy lace scarf. The mug of cocoa was a marshmallow with a candycane handle. There was a sleigh made with halfed bellpepper and sliced cucumber wheels.
