I'm pretty sure I rated this with 4/5 ⭐️'s on Goodreads. I do love a good YA/Contemporary once in awhile. Quite far from my usual YA fantasy pick. As cliche as the story may be, I definitely enjoyed this one. Who wouldn't enjoy a story of a girl volunteering in New Orleans, escaping her youth group, getting lost in the heart of Mardi Gras and meeting the man of her dreams? Oh,I almost forgot, a hurricane is also heading their way😂

I love reading books set in my home state, especially the beautiful New Orleans (which is 45 mins away from me) . Ready to jump in to this light read ❤️ the cover is just so gorgeous, it's what first drew me in.

This goes on sale May 10th. If you like YA romance, or New Orleans, or both of those things wrapped up together, then you'll love this debut novel by Mia Garcia!

Books that surprise me are always awesome! Loved the way this author told the main character's story almost as much as I loved the NOLA setting and Shakespeare references.
