On another note - watched #ReadyPlayerOne in cinema yesterday and it Rox my sox off!! Loved the book and loved the movie too! Character was very well played out.
THIS IS SO GOOD!!! Man that book had me so tightly in its grip that I had totally not realized that I had to get off the train if not a man had dragged me out of it, because Kyoto is the last stop and so everyone has to get out, but I was glued to the pages 🙈 Holy smokes, that was a first for me!
Evening ice cream and a book. Perfection.
Back to the "medieval" Japanese type world.. the last book felt a bit like generic European medieval fantasy so fingers crossed this ones better.

pickI finally started this once the third in the series came out with the intention to just get it off my tbr pile and move to on to other stuff. Around halfway something clicked. Straight on to the third one now.

These were some of the books purchased w/the APPL settlement funds last week: 'The Curse of the Tenth Grave' (new release); The Paper Magician trilogy (new-to-me); 'The Cairo Affair' (backlist; litsy rec) and 'Autumn Princess, Dragon Child' (2016 title/most likely the next off the stax) #TBRTuesday
The first one in this series was good enough, I'm down to try this one. I'm not entirely sure they're my 'thing' yet.
pickAm loving this series. Medieval Japan, a little magic, politics, family, love, battles. Loyalties tested, alliances made. I'm trying not to speed through the books, but I want to know what happens.
pickI was hoping this would be as good as the first book in the series. I was not disappointed. It was just as interesting and action packed as the first. But now I have to wait until October to read the last two books 😭
I cannot wait to dive into this one and see what happens! I enjoyed book 1 so much and @callunakeep has told me book 2 is just as good!
pickA sequel truly worthy of the first! If I hadn't had to work & babysit I would have easily read this in one sitting! I could hardly put it down it was so enthralling! And now I have to wait til August for book 3! Books 3 & 4 already on preorder! If you haven't already, add this series to your TBR!
