Rainy day working the bookstore
Just started
I always like the idea of Harkaway books but it‘s so hard to get past the beginning for me. I‘m past the beginning of this one but it‘s not coming easy.
Still working on it but this one is just not landing with me yet and I‘m past halfway.
I heard a lot of positive reviews so i went with some sci-fi for the week before Xmas. 🛰🚀
Absolutely a must read.
This week's Receiving audio book.
My order is running late at the store but the library came through on release day!
This one has been looking at me from the TBR for too long. Diving in.
It's fine as a memoir of a family but looking any deeper than that there's a lot of junk ideas in there. Only read it as a good faith read at Becky's brother-in-law's request.
It's a quick one. A little like the Wire by way of the Departed. It hits all the beats you'd expect but not in a dumb way.
4 days left in my vacation. I got through the Cartel in less during a vacation a couple years ago. Going for the repeat!
This was good and I liked it but I ended up taking about a week break in the middle so maybe it didn't get me the way it could have. Still, I never thought I'd want to finish a book featuring so much wrestling.
Everybody that came through Receiving today was made to look at this. So much story packed into a slim 100pgs.
I'm only reading this so I can guilt the recommender into reading something I suggest to him. Halfway through and it's not doing much for me.
Today's shipment. Thursday make me tired.
Just a few pages in and I can tell this one is going to leave a mark.
I keep laughing as I read this. I'm getting looks from the people around. 👍
This has been waiting on my desk since Tuesday and I just can't pull the trigger to buy it. The Vorrh was weird enough I'm curious but it was a Lot
This one scratched that sf/f itch I didn't know I was having. Blazed through it and I'll start the second one soon.
This one took me a while but not because I didn't like it, it just meanders.
From one fox-covered book to another.
Survival fiction + magical realism should've been right up my alley. Not this time. 😕
This was a neat little book. It only took about 15min to zip through but maybe a second slower trip would be wise because, What?
This one went a lot faster.
