This story is an interesting coming-of-age/murder mystery story set in the late 19th century in the forested wilderness of North America. Evelyn is a naive young Lady who believes that 5 years ago her father killed 2 men and let a young man who lives on her estate take the blame. (Cont. ⬇️)

Hey #historicalhussies. I just got the next pick for our #LMPBC group. The book looks really good. I have a question though; it doesn‘t look marked up so should there be a notebook with it?

I really enjoyed Wild River. No, not as much as Maine‘s first, House Between Tides (I see I‘m not alone in this feeling!) but the historical settings in Scotland, Chicago, and particularly the wilds of Canada, were terrific. It does take awhile to get going, but the second half of the book goes much faster than the first. Romance, adventure, family strife, twists and turns . . . No. 2 of 4 books for #JoysofJune.

Received our next #LMPBC book last night, along with all these amazing goodies!! Thank you so much @BethM ! 💖💖 The books look great, I loooove that brand of coffee & the flavors 🤤, the teas smell soo yummy too, and the flags 🤓 and that sticker are perfect for my life! Also, buggy and I have already begun coloring in that amazing coloring book. Thank you for a bright day in a long & difficult period of uncertainty! ♥️♥️♥️

I really enjoyed this book. @JenlovesJT47 you made a good choice. It was a really interesting journey from Scotland to the Canadian wilderness. Murder, secrets, revenge, romance, and trout fishing. This book has it all. 😀

@JenlovesJT47 I received your and @MaleficentBookDragon 's books today. Thank you for the comics! You can never have too much Deadpool. The envelope was ripped up and re-taped, but nothing seemed to be damaged. I got the two books, two graphic novels, one journal, and a card. If anything else was in the package, it didn't make it.

I started the #24B4Monday yesterday by reading my pick for the #LMPBC — I was wary at first, but I did find this enjoyable and I kept wanting to read it to see what happens. I feel like this will be hit or miss with some people, but it really picked up towards the end and I gave it an extra star. I still think 100 pages could have been shaved off and you wouldn‘t miss anything. 4⭐️
