The Star-Touched Queen | Roshani Chokshi

This book is absolutely magnificent! So eerily imaginative in a both dreamy and nightmarish aspect, you absolutely must pick this up!
“The woman whom Amar had looked at, as though she held the universe in her gaze, as if galaxies lined her smile, as though she were myths and love and song contained in one body.”

This Savage Song | Victoria Schwab

Is it even possible for Schwab to write a book that deserves anything less than five stars? She did it again and created an amazing world with amazing characters and an amazing plot that made for this amazing book! I read this in two sittings and highly recommend that you pick this up as well!

I feel like there‘s been an extent of some unfair comparisons of Princesses that this author so wonderfully and passionately combats! She defends so many princesses, both fictional and real, and explores how they serve as wonderful role models that children should not be discouraged to look up to!

eoanthoughts I love this! Definitely going on my TBR. Thanks for sharing. 💕 8y

A great conclusion to this amazing trilogy that segues into the idea that there could be more! I did feel like this was drawn out a bit in some chapters, but definitely a must read for the Shadowhunter fan!

StephTKO I actually liked this way more than the original series 8y
MLVReads So many tears!!! 8y
Andreeacristinne I loved this more than the first series too. I really enjoy the way the two series combined! 8y

I fail to find the words to convey how immensely intriguing this book is! The twists! The turns! The deception! The characters! This is a very intelligently written story and I am impatiently awaiting the release of Crooked Kingdom!

Mehso-so

I felt like the middle of this didn't quite keep as intrigued as the beginning and end, and some of the scenes were a little overdone in my opinion, but I give it 3.5 stars because I love the characters and overall story!

StephTKO I loooooooved this one, so much angst. 8y

I have never read a retelling from more of the Beast's perspective! This was a quick and charming little read with an intriguingly and alternately expansive approach to the Beast's story! Full review at thelittlestbookelf.com!

ObsessiveBookNerdLauren Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney story. So I find this 📖 intriguing. 8y
thelittlestbookelf @Obsessive Book Nerd Lauren It's definitely worth checking out! 8y

What a sorrowful and tragic backstory of Queen Levana! This book goes in depth about how Queen Levana came to be queen and everything she had to sacrifice to do so!

I loved this retelling of 1001 Arabian Nights! It followed a plot more focused on Scheherazade rather than the stories that she told and it was wonderful! The atmosphere that the author created felt so authentic and exotic!

I had a marginal amount of a hard time getting into this as I got to know the characters and their world, but the story picked up very quickly halfway through and perpetuated my endless reading until the last page! What a devastating plot twist!

whisperingchapters I know what you mean! The first few chapters were so slow for me and I didn't want to keep reading, but I pushed through and I'm glad I did. 8y
thelittlestbookelf @lattenightsbooks Precisely! I give it 4 stars overall! 8y

If you've ever read Kristen Hannah's The Nightingale, Salt to the Sea is definitely on par with being another great work of Historical fiction! The characters were so well written in first person and have an exhilaratingly emotional depth to this amazing story!

HotCocoaReads I'm dying to read this! 8y
thelittlestbookelf @HotCocoaReads It's a really great angle from a tragedy I knew nothing about! 8y

This book put me through such an emotional roller coaster ride, I needed a long nap afterward. Then I ate all my feelings. Maas is a master of fantasy! This is the one book that I am highly recommending at B&N for people to buy! Full review with spoilers on my blog (link in bio). 💙

Pax | Sara Pennypacker
post image
Pickpick

Even though this is under the "juvenile reader" section, I picked it up because I do what I want. Pax is a fox regrettably abandoned by his human, Peter, and they will stop at nothing to be reunited! It is an instant classic on par with Black Beauty, Shiloh, and The Call of the Wild.

Sydsavvy Agreed! And the picture is worthy of what my heart feels about Pax! 8y
