If you want a quick, cute read, this is the perfect book! It contains two short stories. The first, Midnights, is an adorable, lovey-dovey, feel-good story of young love. The second, Kindred Spirits, follows the blossoming of a relationship created through the camping out for the newest Star Wars. The first story I found far better than the second but both were enjoyable! I‘d love to know what y‘all think!

Honestly, I picked this book because of the cover (which made for a great pic if I do say so myself). It reads more like a memoir than a novella. It was interesting to read about Cesar Aira‘s childhood. I was able to pull some good quotes and resonated with some of the aspects of his upbringing.
Waiting of the carpet guys to get here plus my house being torn up equals some time to catch up on reading!
My golly, this book seemed to drag on forever. There were so many characters that it was hard to keep everyone straight. The story also went back and forth among characters and settings, making it hard to follow. The ending was exciting as it came to a climax, but everything preluding the ending brought the rating down for me.
This book is amazing! A coming of age, mixed with love story, mixed with betrayal. It has a little bit of everything that will keep you intrigued until the very end! This books is a must read to add to your TBR piles. Coming February 2019!
This book did not turn out to be what I thought it was. I enjoyed reading about the various Christians and how they stuck to their faith and resisted Nazi ideas, even when they knew it would cost them their lives. What I didn‘t expect was all the inclusion of their various writings and speeches. It helps give the reader a sense of what their mentality was in their decisions leading up to their death.
This book is everything! If you haven‘t read it yet, go get it now! Fredrik Backman‘s writing is exquisite. He captures the raw emotion of families dealing with dementia and the aspect of letting go. He also captures the everlasting love that all couples strive for and the Grandpa reflects on his love for his late wife. This book will leave you with a vast array of emotions, especially if you‘ve dealt with loss personally. Beautifully written!
Love for a lifetime is never enough.💙
This is such a heart-warming book! Richard Paul Evans writes with such detail that you get sucked into the story from the very beginning. The story follows Jacob Churcher as he embarks on an emotional journey of figuring out why he wasn‘t worthy of his mother‘s love. Elyse helps him realize that he was loveable but just didn‘t have the courage to believe it. Through grace, he ends up finding the courage to fall for the woman of his dreams.
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡By far the best book I‘ve read this year! Sue Monk Kidd‘s writing does an excellent job capturing the emotions of the characters and portraying them to the reader. The journey of both Sarah and Handful captures the harsh realities some once faced. The story behind the quilt was amazingly powerful! If you haven‘t read this book yet, do it now!!!!!
🧡🧡🧡🧡This book has a little bit of everything - romance, suspense, violence, and actual facts. Cathy Sultan does an excellent job at bringing the story to life through her attention to details. Every character is complex which keeps you guessing until the end. Damascus Street gives insight to the complexities surrounding war and the heartbreak and deceit involved within the political realm. I definitely recommend this thriller!!!
This chilly weather calls for a hot cup of coffee, a cozy blanket, & a good book.....if only I could spend all day like this!!! 🍁🍁🍁
Opening day is here!!!🧡🖤🧡🖤 Big shout out to @cwarnier for this fabulous #hocuspocusswap box!!! I‘m so excited to dive into the books and candy!
💙💙💙💙💙I believe this is definitely a must read for couples! This book made for rich discussion. It gave an avenue to talk about what you need from your spouse. This is not typically something couples talk about. My husband knows I love him dearly but to hear the ways in which he feels the most love made me understand him and out relationship better. If you want to sustain your marriage and help your love deepen, then this is the perfect tool!
Getting around to one of my many Goodreads giveaways books! Who else is totally behind getting reviews out?? #somanybookssolittletime
@cwarnier I received this creative package the other day! I‘m obsessed with how you decorated the box!!!! Yours is on its way too!!! This book was so hard to rate! It contained such beautiful stories (especially Ms. Mary‘s), but the book in totality was lacking. The first half of the book was wonderful and I loved how it contained interviews with other marvelous people. The second half seemed to step away from the main idea of the book and dealt more with etiquette. Overall, I really enjoyed the beginning and had high hopes, but this book fell flat on those expectations.
As she moves through life, she tries hard to always deposit something positive, something kind, something uplifting, something helpful in her wake.
As always, I checked out way too many books from the library and I can‘t renew them because someone requested them. So here‘s to trying to knock all these out in the next 4 days!
#HelloFrom opening day!!! A huge thank you to @jillannjohn !!!!! You beyond spoiled me!!!! The bookmark is seriously my new favorite (I may have a slight obsession w/ anything made of wood lol). And shout out to @bullbunny for hosting this swap!!! My first Litsy swap and had so much fun with it - literally like a kid at Christmas!!!
My morning so far: slept in✔️, enjoyed a shower without interruptions✔️, now enjoying HOT coffee and a book✔️. For my fellow moms out there, you know there is a slim chance of any of these happening, let alone all three in a single morning! Making the most outta it while it lasts!
💙💙💙💙💙Wow! Where to start??!! Sharon Olds‘ descriptive poetry is beyond amazing! This book takes you on a journey from her birth to finding love to becoming a seasoned mother. I absolutely loved it! #bookreview #bookrecommendation #poetryisnotdead #poetrymatters
August Wrap-up! 7 books total. The Invention of Wings was by far my favorite! I‘d recommend all of these except for Go Set a Watchman.
With school starting back up, I‘ve been MIA. The long weekend = time to catch up on book posts. Enjoying this beautiful weather and trying to bust out this book! #currentlyreading #weekendreads #booklove #restandrelaxation

Sneaking in some reading time while waiting for the kiddos to get outta school. Just started this one - who‘s read it??? Any thoughts???!!! #currentlyreading #amreading #momswhoread
I absolutely adored this book! The love story between Jenny and Ryan takes you on an emotional journey as Jenny struggles with a choice to forgive Ryan. You find yourself intertwined with Jenny‘s character as you question whether or not you would be able to look past your true love‘s mistakes for a second chance at love. With all the twists and turns, this book makes you question - can true love really prevail all?
I‘m seriously loving this book. On a side note, am I the only one who eats Rice Krispies with honey and no milk??? My husband thinks it‘s weird and un-American 😂😂😂 #currentread #morningroutine #ricekrispies #bookworm
@rather_be_reading is hosting the Hocus Pocus Swap - who else is joining us???!!!! #litsyswap #halloweenswap
I feel like I‘m so late to finally getting around to reading this. It‘s literally been on my self forever and forgotten about. But I‘m so glad to finally be getting to it! Almost done with it and I‘ve loved it! The hubs and I had a get sincere conversation about it last night. Can‘t wait to finish it and give y‘all my final thoughts! #25infive #5lovelanguages #readingisgoodforthesoul #strongmarriage #booklove #breakfastandbooks

Seriously can‘t choose! I‘ve narrowed it down to 4: coffee, books, dry shampoo, & wine. ☕️📖🍷 What‘s your top 3? #bookworm #booklove #booksandbeans #booksandwine #dryshampooislife
Y‘all warned me with this one! I must admit I had quite a hard time getting through this book. The last few chapters were great and rather powerful but the beginning was so slow! I‘m glad I read it but I probably wouldn‘t recommend it.
