A refreshing and sweet Regency romance guaranteed to make your heart flutter ❤️❤️❤️
I admit - it was the book's cover that pulled me in. Red coat, Paris, the river Seine. I thought it was cute. After reading the book, however, I was blown away by how utterly charming, romantic and undeniably French this novel was. Barreau's storytelling was hopelessly adorable and I just couldn't help but gush over the whole romance stuff. It also includes a must-watch list of films of ❤️. Recommended for hopelessly romantics and Francophiles.
A very powerful and rich story about identity, culture and civilization. The title actually says it all: how traditions, as meaningful or revered they can be, can be affected by outside forces to be reckoned with. It will leave you a sense of respect about Africa's culture with Achebe's masterful storytelling. Highly recommended!
Great POV storytelling - I liked the fact that the whole story was told through the mentality of three characters (all women, all have serious men issues). The mystery and intrigue were flawless right at the end. Thrilling and fast-paced read! Recommended for mystery lovers.
