I had so many favorites, but the top of the list this month include Fate of the Tearling, And Every Morning The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer, A Bollywood Affair, Sweetgirl, & The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society (reread). Can't wait for more amazing books in 2017!

I love YA fantasy (ACOMAF, Throne of Glass series), memoirs, narrative nonfiction (Dead Wake, Boys in the Boat), women's fiction (Liane Moriarty, Jojo Moyes), historical fiction (Kate Morton, Chris Cleaves), so what should I read??

I just need more time to read all of these! Chores are eating into my higher priorities...

OMG y'all! So good!! Don't read it at night though...I had crazy dreams and woke up with my heart racing!

I feel simultaneously overwhelmed and comforted by the number of unread books on my nightstand...is that strange?? On another note, I'd love to convince my mama to read this with me, but she's very much a cozy mystery kind of gal.

Thoroughly enjoying this dystopian story that's reminding me slightly of A Tale of Two Cities on this gloomy, drippy day! Listening to the British narrator is really enhancing my audiobook experience. :)

Not gonna lie...I ordered this months ago and had to call Amazon and raise Cain when it didn't show up on the release date! I've been multitasking tonight and reading while doing chores. 10 pages in and loving it already!

These are some new arrivals to our kids' growing home library! Obviously, Everyone Poops is a big time fave with my two year old :)

Rainy day + coffee + yoga pants = perfection! Especially with this book, which I'm really enjoying. I was hesitant to read it because I felt the first one was a little more dark and brutal than I like, but the whole concept and storyline sucked me in! I'm on pins and needles to see where it's going!

The language in this book is exquisite, a perfect complement for the heartbreaking story told by Dr. Kalanithi.

I loved these books as a kid! I was a voracious reader then (and now) and I loved cozy mysteries with Siamese cat superstars! Fun fact: I always pictured Qwill looking like Tom Selleck :)
