As always, King is an awesome writer, awesome story teller!
Love how the painting comes alive and helps Rose through her journey of leaving and defeating her abusive husband.

Steven king is one of my favorite authors. This was one of the first few books I read by him. I was lucky to be allowed to even read his works when I was younger. And I mean like early middle school young. So when I saw this at a used book store, I had to have it.
I overall enjoyed this book. It slowed down towards the middle for a bit, but I pushed through. I can see why some people really didn't enjoy it. But I can also see why others loved it. If you're a fan of the '80s, it is must read.
Getting some reading in...with my cat, one of them at least, keeping me company ❤️
I haven't seen the movie so...I don't know what to expect. And I hate when they use movie posters on books. But I can't be picky since I found this for like $3 at a used book store.
This was a good read, it kept me enthralled the entire time.
Starting this today. Getting sick isn't fun, but it definitely helps me catch up on my reading.
I really enjoyed this book. And Andy Weird did an excellent job on explaining the scientific terms and NASA terms, making me the dummy in that area, understand what is going on.
And Mark Watney is such a fun, loving smart ass character, I rooted for his survival.
Sick day, I have a nasty viral infection. So I'm pretty sure I'll be finishing this book today. And yes, my kitty is keeping me company ❤️
Starting this book. I hope it's good, I enjoyed the movie. So...that means the book is probably way better, right! Cuz, you know, books are always better than the movies.
I really enjoyed this book and how this author writes as well. She is becoming easily one of my favorite up and coming authors!
Found this for like $3.50 at a used book store!
It was a good read, but the last part seemed a bit rushed. I feel like there could be more to this story.
After a rainy start, work, and a quick nap...it's now sunny and gorgeous out so time to catch up on some reading! Plus no migraine! Yay!
I want to read, it's perfect weather for it, raining and all but I have a lousy migraine, ugh 😖
Starting this book I found at a used book store... looks and sounds interesting.
I enjoyed this book the first time around and I enjoyed it the second time around. Granted, it's easy to figure out who did what rather early but it's still a good read and I liked the writing style.
Reading with one of my kitties...
Happy mother's day to all, even those like me who just have fur babies! ❤️❤️
I've always been interested in astrology...
I did enjoy this book, it was interesting but I felt like the author repeated himself an awful lot.
If you don't mind repeated ideas, definitely check this book out. It's a very short read, so you're not really wasting too much time.
I'm not sure why, but this paragraph is sticking to me. This whole section is very intriguing.
Let's start this one. Granted, I've already read it, but that was years ago...so a reread is in order!
I really enjoyed this book. He clearly picked up his father's talent for writing! I'm looking into reading his other works.
A co-worker gave this to me to borrow, sounds interesting. Short read for me.
Just wanted to show off this awesome book mark!
Found this book at a thrift store for like $1. I enjoyed the movie so let's see how the book is!
What's not to live about Ray Bradbury and his works?!
Reading this... well, a reread really!
I enjoyed this book. I like the commentary in it from the author as well, it was different and entertaining.
My eyes are feeling so much better.
Now...my body has decided it needed a break and I got sick.
And what does one do on sick days, especially if one has a note to be excused from work?
Read!
With a cat of course. Always with a cat...
Ok, I'm still reading this book. It's not a long book, and it is good so far, it's just I got new glasses. And with new glasses, new prescription. And it's taking a bit to adjust to them, especially since my one eye had a big jump in the prescription. So, yeah, it kinda sucks, but I'm just glad I can see clearly again. I'm hoping by the end of the week, my eyes will have adjusted and I'll feel up to reading again!;
This was a very good book.
I'm having one of those moments where I'm thinking, I can't believe this actually happened.
It is a must read for anyone who wants to learn about the Holocaust and what happened, how people like Lale survived to tell their story.
Goal for tonight... finish this book, with a cat in my lap.
Work has just been so exhausting this week.
Getting some reading in...I haven't really been reading because I've been getting migraines. I finally made an appointment with my doctor and got some meds to help...
This book was a roller coaster of a ride. I love this book. I will probably buy the trilogy set for my birthday and just read those instead of using the library.
I'm so close to finishing this book... I'll probably finish it today.
My reading has slowed down a bit because I picked up some hours at work and the position I'm helping with is a bit more active than my regular position. So I'm just exhausted when I get home.
On the plus side, I'm sleeping way better since I've picked up the hours!
Starting this book...I keep hearing good things about it, so I'm looking forward to it.
4/5
Now that I'm feeling better mentally, I've gone back to reading. I've finished this book in a day, after I picked up where I left off.
I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed watching the main characters growth.
I'm still trying to read this. It's not that it sucks, it's just the holidays make me depressed and I already deal with depression so it's not fun.
But the holidays are over and the new year has style, so...I'm trying to feel better and get back into reading.
❤️
Nala may be sleeping, but she is still supervising me...
Currently reading, my cat kima approves
I really enjoyed this book. I've been meaning to read it for awhile now, and have always been interested in Sylvia Plath and her work.
I have depression myself so I really could connect with this book and the character, Esther.
I'm definitely going to check out her poems.
Currently reading this. I've not been in the mood for reading. Just sick and sleepy. But I'm feeling better, so I'm feeling up to read again.
