Wonderful children's book of poems and a Texas Bluebonnet Book

A quick read with an unusual premise

I loved Moore's A Dirty Job and Secondhand Souls but Noir moved a little slow. It seemed to take a long time to get to the sci-fi, supernatural aspect that I was hoping to read.

Taking a break from the Kindle and listening to this audiobook for a bit. #readathon

Getting a late start on the #readathon. This book has been on my TBR list forever and so far so good.

I think I would have enjoyed this more in the print edition. The audiobook's reader had a tone that grated on me for some reason.

There were ideas about overcoming your fear and finding your calling that I really loved. But there also were a lot of oversimplifications and over the top metaphysical views in my opinion.

I loved listening to Elwes' memories on one of my favorite movies.

I read this in one night. It was that good. I love mythology, and this updated version of Emer did not disappoint.

This grownup version of Scooby Doo with a twist was a fun read to start my summer list. It had the right mix of nostalgia, darkness and humor for me. I hope this is just the beginning for the Blyton Summer Detective Club.

Meh. It was a KindleFirst read so it didn't cost me anything. The language was a little overdone and the characters a little underdeveloped.

I started this book before the recent arrest in the Golden State Killer case. McNamara's writing and research is compelling. I wish she had lived to see the results of her work and finish the story.
