I think @sprainedbrain is right audio is the way to go ! Duchovny reads his work in a lively, snarky style . Very fun , thought provoking & filled with love for its characters & New York City!

#JulyJam #kittenday Just so happens I have one. This is Sophie , rescued from a carpenter shop .The carpenter was trying to trap mom & babies , before he could, mamma took them away, leaving this little one behind. She had a bad leg & my friend didn‘t like her chances in the 108 degree heat.So here we are. I have room for one more. Her leg is much better, thinking it was a sprain.
Ok, I‘ve been in love with Agent Fox Mulder since the tender age of 16, but I also really like the guy that played him—and his sublime writing. This book is so good.
Emer is an unforgettable character, and this magical mythology-inspired (think American Gods) NYC fairy tale was entertaining from start to finish. Smart, edgy, and just lovely. It‘s not just a modernized story of ancient gods, it‘s a love story to NYC and our nation of immigrants.⬇️
Book mail 🥳 this was what I ordered in June it finally got here today. My home library is rapidly growing and I love it so! See any you have read? Let me know what you thought 🌸
Described as a mix between Nick Hornby and Neil Gaiman. That sounds right up my alley. Starting this today!
Starting Part 2 and I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. It's not bad, just a little slow. Or maybe it's just me. Anyone else read this one yet?
I wasn‘t sure about this book for awhile. I didn‘t know where it was going. I really wanted to like it because I like David Duchovny. I‘m glad I stayed with it because I really enjoyed it once everything came together. Some bits were like a normal story and some were really weird. I kept thinking of the X-Files. Oh! And I humbly own a signed copy.
I loved this! Take a simple love story, throw in some gods and demons, meddling and a little fantastical lore, and you have an absolute gem. It‘s funny, sarcastic and downright awesome. Read by Duchovny in his deadpan style, and throw in the amazing voices of his ex-wife, Leoni, and his daughter, and this is a classic.

Present day story of the Irish Myth of Emer and the Cuchulian, set in New York City. A modern day fairytale romance for the oddball at heart. If the dark oddball characters or, the enchantment of NYC or the supernatural charms don't make you fall in love with this book, Duchovny humor, satire and wit will. You get to know such memorable characters as Jimmy Gunnels.Sidhe.Anansi.but the one I fell in love with is Emer.
A great book. Recommended
I‘m finally getting to experience Duchovny‘s skill as an author. I‘m loving it so far, and while continuing to listen to this #audiobook (which Duchovny reads), I decided that Ciara needed a haircut! #currentlylistening
Just started this.....comical subway fun so far....anyone read this?
I read this in one night. It was that good. I love mythology, and this updated version of Emer did not disappoint.
So, I stopped in at a local bookstore today to see if they had a particular edition of Middlemarch. The store frequently has author events...
