Off to a slow start this year. New job and new puppy make for little reading time! And chunkers like Lonesome Dove and Betty take some time. Here‘s to a year of great books!

Cortg I‘ve had Lonesome Dove on my TBR for quite a while and I love chunksters! Maybe 2021 will be the year! 4y
Tamra I hope you enjoy Lonesome Dove! Beloved characters! I even love the movie. 4y
Aswenson @cortg I enjoyed it a lot - I would definitely recommend! 4y
Aswenson @tamra I did like it more than I thought I would. Looking forward to watching the movie/mini-series! 4y

JamieArc I think The Night Swim and True Story will both be good on audio, so I‘m recommending them to my library too. 4y

Wow. Wow. This is such an amazing story but tragic in so many different ways. Highly recommend!

marleed If you attempted to recount this book to someone who didn‘t know about it, I think most would question the credibility of your telling! It‘s one of the craziest truth is stranger than fiction books I‘ve ever read. 4y

Such a different story! The narrator‘s life was the most interesting (and realistic) to me than the larger than life Ray and Bunny. I‘m not sure how to describe the story otherwise, but it was fast and addicting.

DNF: can‘t do it.
Started strong with a good story, but then turned into the likes of “girl wash your face” type crap. “Ignore facts! Explore your imagination! That‘s where the true you lies, listen to her!” (Not a quote from the book, but what many of them sounds like.)

Hooked_on_books Yeesh, I couldn‘t stomach that, either. I do love the cover, though. 5y
