Tough decision this month... have a birthday credit... requested a bunch of the others from the library. 😍

Loving this so much.
Great read. I get lost in the language sometimes, but overall enjoying it.
Slow and steady. #swensonreads
Off to a slow start this year. New job and new puppy make for little reading time! And chunkers like Lonesome Dove and Betty take some time. Here‘s to a year of great books!
Seeing how much I can get through before the new year! (With 4 boys, Hubby, cat, and new puppy all in the house 😬)
These are most of my August- December reads as I have failed to keep up with my monthly posts! #swensonreads20 #swensonreads
Wow, wow, wow. We need more democrats like Stacey Abrams leading the charge. She is intelligent, driven, and works her butt off to fight for democracy.
Very educational and inspirational.
I loved this! Predictable twists and turns but ultimately spurring you along to experience the deep love and heartbreak with the characters.
There are three add-ons I want, but none of the book of the months interest me! 😑 #botm
Almost done with book one. Only took all summer! ☺️
Lots of good reads this month. Really enjoyed Valentine, and each of the books pertaining to race/social justice were excellent. #swensonreads #swensonreads20
This is reminding me of Circe - I like it!
Wow. Wow. This is such an amazing story but tragic in so many different ways. Highly recommend!
Such a different story! The narrator‘s life was the most interesting (and realistic) to me than the larger than life Ray and Bunny. I‘m not sure how to describe the story otherwise, but it was fast and addicting.
Like all the MN references throughout Esken‘s novels. Quick detective books that seem predictable but can still keep you guessing. #audiobookrun
Great month! A Good Neighborhood, Mathematical Mindsets, and Behold the Dreamers were my favorites.

Holy moly! Super important read for any math teacher K-12, but also great information for parents as well.
I‘m so excited to be teaching again this fall with this knowledge!
My boys have all been Clifford fans. Yesterday they all cuddled together with the two year old to read together. 🥰
The ending of this felt a bit unsatisfying, and like it was trying too hard.
BUT I loved the premise and enjoyed the two stories and the real ads.
This was slow at times and I thought the character living in her alternative reality so often was a bit crazy, but I still enjoyed it and was happy with how it turned out.
Waiting in the car at the dentist‘s office and reading this for book club.
Looking forward to these two. #botm
Not a fan of this backwards story. The structure doesn‘t seem to serve a purpose and is more confusing than anything.
This was not my favorite Ruth Ware, probably ranks 3rd behind The Woman in Cabin 10 and Dark Dark Wood... but better than Turn of the Key!
I usually don‘t drink and read (as drinking makes me tired) but this is working so I‘m going with it! #botm

A friend suggested a book exchange on our zoom book club meeting call, but I‘m not sure she‘s ready for my pile of suggestions! 😃 #botm
DNF: can‘t do it.
Started strong with a good story, but then turned into the likes of “girl wash your face” type crap. “Ignore facts! Explore your imagination! That‘s where the true you lies, listen to her!” (Not a quote from the book, but what many of them sounds like.)
Still somehow busier than ever during quarantine! So not many books read. Every Note Played and Tea Girl we‘re favorites. #swensonreads #swensonreads20
My library has invested more in their audiobook collection due to COVID-19 and I am loving that there are more books on my to-read list available in this format.
Slow month! I thought this quarantine stuff would give me more time to read, but teaching AND homeschool teaching makes for little down time. #botm #swensonreads #swensonreads20
Our at-home standing desk is coming along. We needed to make it a little higher, and my lovely husband asked, “I don‘t know, do you think you have enough books?” 🤣 #TBRpiletotherescue
This was super cute though completely predictable. Needed a light-hearted read! #botm
Ugh.
Surprise! If you act like an idiot, make terrible life decisions, and keep secrets from your spouse things get bad and over-dramatic. 😒
This is a beautiful true story of an older couple forced out of their home and livelihood who decide to walk the 600+ mile path along the coast of southwest England. Lovely story!
There are some... unsavory... parts in this, and at times I feel like there were details missing to take the reader from one scene to the next, but overall I kept wanting to come back and stayed up late reading the last 100 pages! #botm
