I am in love with the dog Oberon more than Atticus the Druid. The story is fast paced and a lot of action and magic. Great for people who loves mythology.

The words flow like poetry, the story is a mystery but I just can't connect. Doesn't mean it's bad at all. The multiple characters with deep dark secrets, each unravels into a great climax at the end

Totally loved the whole charade involving 2 siblings trying to get their inheritance after the passing of their mother. While the mom probably wouldn't mind, but will they succeed?

Changeling | Philippa Gregory

For Philippa Gregory this somehow is not as great as her other historical fiction. Luca was an interesting and inquisitive man in Church, but the main star is of course Lady Abbess, who is the suspect/ victim in the book.
I like it, but not as much.

The book may be packed with action, but Zac and Sam are brothers, died during the war. It would have been fine, if it wasn't the fact that the characters mirror Vampire Diaries in personality. Add a witch and an all powerful girl in the mix, all originality went out the window. I struggled not to compare with every decision that the characters made. It may be a good book, but I just can't get past comparing.

Try this book if you like unexplainable things, not quite magic but not really normal. The story is about weylyn grey, as told by the people who came across him. The writing is good, the pace a little slow for me. As we follow the journey of a boy who was adopted by wolves, touched by something more special, find friendship and family

I like the alternative world setting, in the dystopian world where libraries rule, we can see power can still be an issue in a world where knowledge is power.
Follow Jess blackwell as he moves from being a book smuggler to a book protector..

I like the complexity of it, as well as a good fantasy book for a theme of identity crisis. Lady Elanna is like a teenager's rite of passage.

The Dressmaker | Rosalie Ham

I love that it is set in rural Australia. First you think that she is coming into terms with her past, then the shocking ending makes me cackle out loud. The movie is good, but the book is way better

Watch the movie, this books is detailed but lack a personal touch. Read it for the facts, though it will be hard to connect with the characters

The heroine was the girl who saved Thomas de Quincey from starvation. Even though that it was a fictional story of a real person, the author had made her seem like a person worth knowing. My only gripe is that the story is written with a modern voice despite the era.
