It seems readers either love or hate this book. I haven‘t yet decided but it‘s worth the read. I completely want to shake the main character but that‘s probably why I keep reading. The answer is so obvious but I expect that‘s how the author intended it to be.

I was really drawn in by the main character, a new mother struggling with single parenthood and the loss of her husband. However, the range of emotions she went through were a bit much for me. I hung in there to see what happened. 😢

After going to the movies this past weekend, my fiancé and I were talking about society's fascination with the story of a virus destroying humanity. This story reiterates that theme, just a different take on it.

An unfortunate main character that seems to find herself on the wrong side of situations over and over. Lee finds herself in a twisted game and doesn't know which people are lying and which are honest. If I were her, I'd have been holed up in my closet forever. 😂

I love my lazy Saturday mornings. My reading buddy is the best. Now if he could just fetch coffee. 😂

Checking out independent bookshops when I travel, is a must. In fact I plan them into our itinerary. Our next trip will be to Maine, though I'm not not sure which part yet. Any suggestions for must see bookstores are much appreciated.

I cannot help but feel for Ginny and her forever parents. So many emotions in this story. I'm half way through and don't know where this is going. Will it break my ❤️?

What a sweet, thought provoking story. As a mother, it's especially comforting to read about the relationships mothers have with their daughters. I loved this book!!

I just can't wrap my head around the mess on my desk and the fact that I'm off again tomorrow. Need a little plug in and focus time. This is such a sweet story so far.

I now have to have a locked door on my puppy jail. I committed the most heinous crime. I opened the door on my own and ate mom's shoes and library book while she was at work.

This one started out in a bookstore. The main character was a bookseller with a hidden past. Beyond that, the story evolves past the bookstore. There are some topics that particularly pull at my heart strings. This one was one of them all tied up in a mystery.

I'm sitting in my library staring at mounds of books and still find myself going to the Cloud library to look for something to read. Can we say addicted? 😂 In all seriousness, I'm torn between Heart-Shaped Box and 20th Century Ghosts. Any suggestions?

I just love books about bookstores and this cover just pulled me in. Then I was pleasantly surprised to find the story quite engrossing. Love it!

I broke my cardinal rule and read these out of order. This was my first Tana French and I'm hooked.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who rushed to read the book before starting the Hulu series. The first episode was a little slow for me, other than Atwood's cameo. Now I'm hooked. I like the modern adaptation.

Not the ending I was expecting but a good read. I love all of his work.

Wow! Thank you Lisa Ko. At first I disliked Deming quite a bit. By the end I felt for the child in him that got lost along the way. I loved this book.
