Style like sun tzu the art of war with "must"... "therefore"... the art of the bow parallels about being a good person.

Ok. Probably wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't the only audio i had downloaded on a trip.
Sometime hard to focus on, but overall, I enjoyed this book.
Didn't love this book and plot, taking advantage of students.. Multilple 1st person narratives was also complicated to read.
Awesome book. Especially enjoyed as an adiobook that read like a radio program with audio interviews and snips from other recorded audio sources. It was very well done and interesting.
Welp... about as expected. Connection with her only in her early days which was the best part of the book as well. Feel bad for many of the situations her and those robbed and stunted in/from development. the second half, winy and blah.
2nd book of the series, another winner with Decker working with the FBI to solve another unlikely case.
I can only imagine the blessing and curse of never being able to forget anything.
Thucydides! Its been more than I haven't ever wanted to know about the Peloponnesian War, but we even made it through a mid-term together.
Cute story. Robot becoming one with nature of the land and animals and adopting a bird son. Short book, short chapters. Great way to break up the more serious current readings.
Short metaphorical piece fully of many densely packed nuggets. A lot of common sense and applicable in many situations, although understanding of historical context helps beyond the nuggets.
Interesting and fun to learn more about the women in Greek mythology. So much research and details, which appreciated, but not being very knowledgeable on many of the stories, it was a bit much at times.
Great book with historical and biblical contexts. bigger, smarter, stronger is relative to comparative similarity/differences and purpose.
Enjoyable to listen to while cleaning. A bit on the drama side with questionable character judgment, at least from what I think would be more common sense thinking for most people. However, in keeping with entertainment talking story, it was pretty good.
Pretty good, maybe not on my favorite list. But did keep me interested and enjoy how two people speaking different languages can develop a friendship and understanding.
Enjoyed, heavy on history from another perspective of Japanese American finding his way to a job as military civilian intelligence. Fun listening while cruising around the island and looking at the now while listening to the then.
Happy Easter. Although there were days skipped, it has been a good lenten season. Better than last year, always growing and improving.
"Mathamatics is the extension of common sense by other means" Nerd alert. Yes, this is a book talking all about math. I absolutely enjoyed the first quarter of the book using math to understand things. By the second half, I think I had too much math details with topics of proba ility and theories of relativity.
Enjoyed this story audio and appropriate lenten season timing.
Loved this perspective of history including not only about hawaiian history, but also the mainland west of Wyoming and of course rodeo and cowboys (or paniolo)
Good to get some attention on female anatomy topics. It was however, very dense. Pretty sure I fell asleep a couple different times during this book.
Always enjoy Kevin Kwan's and the dramas of these Asian billionaires. (Even though I don't typically care for sopopera, reality dramas)
Well written and nutrual. Enjoyed the first half, learning some of the history more than the mass shooting and survivor stories towards the end. But overall, well done.
Interesting, exciting, well written. Enjoyed the science themes and knowledge along with the criminal thrill. Great story, can't make something like that up (which it happens to be based on true events).
It was ok, but didn't really capture my complete interest, as I found myself reading other things instead of this. I Got about 1/3 way through before the library loan expired. Not planning to renew or finish. Hope I didn't miss something more spectacular later on.
Well done. Was skeptical at first. But it had me emotionally vested and deep thought-provoking by the end.
Very much enjoyed. Keep you interested and trying to figure it out until the end.
Pretty good. Agreed and disagreed. Overall, some great points, but nothing too ground breaking. Preferred the first book.
Fantastic modern history with historical content and accurate analysis of the INDO Pacific area. Even though the book is nearly 10 years old, it provides such great information, and many topics discussed have/are happening or still relevant. A lot of information and history, but well done.
Wanted to like this book, which kept getting high recommendations to read. Took me a long time to get through starting and stopping it, but kept hearing good reviews and thought it had to get better. Maybe too detail oriented for me, and frustrating to read. Understand the sympathy and good awareness for mental illness, but hard for me to stay engaged. Probably could cut the word count in half and I might have enjoyed it more.
It was mostly funny, and the audio version was
Good hearing Tina Fey read. Didn't joy all promotional lines (people and vendors to purchase products) and a lot of recap of shows we've already seen. Overall, decent easy listen, providing a number of laughs along the way.
Wow. Incredible. How these men made it though nearly 2 years of Antarctic disastrous expedition is amazing. Exceptional leadership and human ability to endure beyond belief.
Didn't finish, but I wouldn't say bailed, but probably not likely to pick it back up. It is really interesting and well written about some of the post WWII atomic bomb and missile testing sites on little atolls including Kwajalein, bikini, and Rongelap making up part of the marshal island. Although not widely known in our history education, it has been, and still is a major piece of our history.
Started great with many laughs. The second half was still OK, but a bit repetitive and mild less interested.
" the key to a good life is not giving a fuck to more, its giving a fuck about less"
Especially enjoyed the former first Lady reading this book to me.
Always appreciate how much research rebecca solnit puts into her work. This one had a few catchy points but not my favorite book of hers, still academically good of womens studies.
Good! Immersive audio drama, literally felt everything. Trigger warning with sensitive subjects including war scenes and sexual assault/rape. None the less important story to be told. (Book not in litsy collection)
I was a fan of eat pray love. But 10%... 20%... into the book and it wasn't catching my interest.... after getting about 50% through the book, realized I didn't care about finishing it. Stopped listening and over a week went by without giving it a thought until the library due date reminder came in.
Finally back in a book and one waiting on the shelve for some time. I really did enjoy this book although nothing in particular, and even most of the trial seemed very extreme. Any case, it was a good read and now I can watch the movie version.
So good. Quick airplane read, although not my favorite place to get little teary-eyed. Related with this author and story from everything to H mart shopping centers, Seoul, geography of the book, sense if place, parental death, generational significants more than the word, 'millennial'.
Didn‘t know anything about this book, but wasn‘t what I expected. This was a graphic novel based on true story of a serial killer in Paris. Read it as a digital copy and probably would have been better as hard copy read to appreciate the graphics better.
Obviously not a “fun” read. Informational read. Dealing some difficult relationships. This book had some valid points and some I couldn‘t help but relate to. Gave me some things to think about as I start a new chapter and practice some self care.
Super short audio, under 2 hours. It was ok, as the author mentioned in the intro, this book was originally not meant to be read by other but as an expression for the author to get his thoughts out for himself. enjoyed other books by this author much more than this one.
Preferred Rich peoples problems then crazy rich Asians over this one. However, still enjoyed this book. Actually it‘s technically the first of the series, so there was some interesting background to characters of the other two books.
