Never knew I loved dark fairytales until now. I think I just found my new favorite author.

Finished reading and still completely hooked! Seriously, if you haven‘t read this book - you will magically get sucked in like I did! I‘m feeling rocked and I need the The Wicked King immediately...so I‘ll just be here waiting impatiently 👀

I have say it - I loved this book!!!
I usually love Dystopian type stories and this is just so different from anything I've read thus far.
I‘m really looking forward to the next book, Thunderhead
A Belated Christmas gift... so worth the wait - I‘m loving this book! 🎁😍❤️
I‘ve been an Owlcrate/Nocturnal Readers box subscriber and I never knew what to do with the themed cards that came in every box until another Owlcrater suggested making them into bookmarks!
Great idea and here they are!

I loved my November‘s Owlcrate Subscription Box!
The ‘Expecto Patronum‘ beanie sent it over the top for me (being a huge HP fan!) and the ‘Squallers‘ wooden pin from the Grishaverse has me 🤩. I‘m planning to start ‘The Glass Spare‘ (exclusive cover with signed author plate) next year when I do the POP Sugar 2018 Reading Challenge!
Just a heads-up that this is a character driven story that‘s slow going. The only thing pulling me through was wanting to know what happens to the dragons...which I won‘t know until the 2nd book (well played Jodi Meadows). My favorite character Aaru, the MC‘s silent friend, left me wanting to know more about their relationship so... although the 1st book was so-so for me - I‘m more likely buy the second book... just out of sheer curiosity.
I‘m really enjoying this book thus far and really and one of my favorite characters so far is Aaru, a man from Idris, the Isle of Silence, where his community don‘t speak much and use a quiet code through taps they make with their fingers. He tells the protagonist that there is ‘strength through silence.‘ I wondered how so when a voice can have so much power... now I know 👆🏽👏🏽❤️
Can‘t wait to start this beauty by Jodi Meadows ❤️ After all...who doesn‘t love 🐉 ‘s
Next up: One Dark Throne!
...and I‘m pretty excited about it 😁
23/10/17: Finished The Book and loved it so much! Really wanting the third book now...is it ready yet?! 👀
Audrey Rose is a woman who knows her place but has a passion that isn‘t “fitting for a lady of her station” & chooses to follow her ambitions anyway. This story has some twists I didn‘t see coming. I loved the real period photos, including a sinister, (partial) letter from the Ripper himself; was a nice touch. If you‘re a history buff, or get thrills from serial killers like the infamous Ripper or even forensic science - you will like this book!
Next up this Halloween 🎃 Month Read...
I‘m so loving this book right now!
I don‘t think I can adequately describe how much I‘m LOVING this book right now!! ???
If you have a chance to get it - snatch this up!!!

Now that I‘m done reading...when is the next one coming out ?. LOVED THIS BOOK!
I give this book a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! (Only for the fact that I plan on buying the second book!) I warn you that it is slow to start and is told from different POVs for each sister but I believe it's because of the world building involved. If you want a fast paced, instant gratification read - you won't get that with this book. Unless you're patient enough to make it over half way when the story picks up speed.
Just give it a go 👆🏽
I got this book in July's Nocturnal Reader's box subscription. I haven't read horror in awhile, and was excited to dive into this book - I'm glad I did! The writing isn't gorey, but the imagery is creepy. I empathized easily with the MC Mitch and his adorable niece and found myself rooting for them, even through the strange circumstances of their situation. If you like a creepy horror and quick read, then give this a go!
So excited I got this in my J.K Rowling's Wizarding World box from Loot Crate! Metal 'Piertotum Locomotor' bookends. I've been searching for bookends for 2 months, who knew they were on their way to me. #feelinglikealuckylady
Just started this book from The Nocturnal Readers Box 'The Feast' theme for July. So far, so good....
I've been meaning to read this book for awhile and I have to say that I'm almost half way through and it doesn't disappoint...yet. I've noticed that the MC Juliette, is very similar to the character Rogue from X-Men (but that's a different conversation for another time) ... I wonder how this is going to turn out...
This book needs to be in every classroom and I pray that this book ends up being a classic like 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. The feels I've had while reading this book...from ugly crying to straight up wanting to scream as loud as I can into a pillow...this quote though. Profound.
Although this book is historical fiction, there are some factual elements added in from the research provided by the author. I've been a fan of Albert Einstein since high school, but by the end of the book, my perspective of him has been greatly altered. I hope that most of what happened to this intelligent and talented woman is a work of fiction...if not, she should be remembered for what she represented - a woman ahead of her time.
So I just finished 'The Other Einstein' yesterday and been staring at my TBR pile wondering which I will read next. Pulled a folded piece of paper from the jar and it will be...
'The Hate U Give' by Angie Thomas
The feels! My heart really goes out to Mileva Maric. This book is an honest and fairly bleak look at the sacrifices this brilliant woman made to support another brilliant scientist. #feelingfrustratedforher
In 'The Upside of Unrequited' Molly is a teen who has such a fear of rejection that she chooses to have crushes but refuses to take it any further. She has a twin sister who is lovesick over a new hot girlfriend and Molly finds it disconcerting that her twin, Cassie, usually includes her in life - suddenly becomes a little distant and isn't sharing her personal life like Molly expects. This is a sweet coming of age book that is also a quick read.
Although I did enjoy the book, I wasn't blown away by it.
Either way it's an ok read.
Eliza is an introverted teen with a couple friends who live online, the only thing that takes up her time is her extremely popular webcomic series, 'Monstrous Seas' but no one knows it's hers. What follows is a great story about following your passion and doing what you love. It explores how someone deals with the stress of being swallowed up by their own creations; when fans can become monsters.
I loved this book!
I read this book twenty years ago and am rereading it again now that I've received the 20th Anniversary "House Edition" and I've fallen in love with this series all over again.
