"What in the actual heck??" One of my favorite quotes so far...great listen so far, read by the author.
Gripping and heartbreaking. I was frustrated at times with the mom in this true story. But a satisfying ending. Good book.

Great book, nice characters and interesting ending. Will be glad too see how the rest of the alphabet turns out
Such a great read! I love WWII stories, and this one based off true stories does not disappoint!
I enjoyed this. I'm a fan of Clinton Kelly and will be seeing him on tour tomorrow, so I wanted to read it before I got to meet him. A memoir. I felt like Clinton was having coffee with me and telling me the stories from his life. Enjoyable.
Ok so Lilac Girls finally came in from the library (on hold since September 1), already had Penumbra from the library, 11/22/63 is a paperback I found at goodwill, and Yes Please on audio. Lots to read!!
I enjoyed this one. It was pretty long, sometimes it seemed to drag a bit. But it was an excellent story and a satisfying end to the series!
Found at Goodwill in good shape. I'm not usually a Stephen King fan, will I like?
So great! Loved it. Long but so many twists and turns, definitely kept me on my toes and glad I finished it!
So my Overdrive library loan of this book ended. I was honestly wondering how to finish, even thought about purchasing at Amazon for $12. Then I noticed this on my shelf. Oh, how about I finish it in print?? Lol
This book grabs you from the very start. At chapter 3 I'm looking for ways to read more!!
Excellent! If you like novels written in letters, WWII, and peculiar people, this book is for you!
These two checked out together...can I finish Guernsey in time to read the other? I hope! This book is pleasantly delightful!!
Ack! So apparently I do not like creepy books, at least not this creepy!
This is working pretty well to read together with my 5 year old! He takes a book to school every day so I think the reading bug may be taking hold...
This was a great start to getting my 5 year old interested in reading. He enjoyed reading some himself and letting me read the rest. I'll definitely pick up more from this author.
Project #getthe5yearoldexcitedtoread begins with this library haul...
There aren't words to describe this book. It was terrifying, not something I wanted to read about. But the several points of view made it a spectacular read. I hope and pray I only ever have to read about something like this as fiction. The entire book is written in the span of one hour, during a horrifying school shooting. Definitely recommended.
About 30% done, this is intense...I wasn't sure I wanted to keep going but the story is keeping my attention...
This book is the Audible Deal of the Day. I read it as a Kindle First and loved it. I couldn't put it down. Recommended!!
This book was great. Plot, characters, twists, loved it! Recommended. I liked the writing style too.
It was good. A little slow going at first, but it turned out good and I'm ready to read the next one in the series. Too bad I'm number 11 in line at the library!!
This isn't my normal type of book I'd pick up, but it riveting. A classic! Can't wait to listen to it by Dan Stevens!
Picked this up from the library today. What a fun read! We're about a third through it. Makes for fun reading aloud!
Beautiful. It was a little slow in some spots but a good enough story to want to keep going. I was rewarded at the end for finishing. Lovely book.
This was a great story. Well written, enough sci-fi to make it interesting. It was an easy read and was hard to put down. Recommended!
What a great book! I thought it might be dry, but no! Felicia Day is funny and introspective. She is a good writer (we already knew that tho), and inspiring to be brave enough to overcome obstacles. Definitely worth listening to her own narration!
This had me hooked from page one. Excellent story telling, vivid imagery, and sci-fi references? This book is right up my alley. I loved how the seemingly unrelated dialogues tied together at the end. Highly recommended!
I just finished listening to the audio version of this book and I loved it so much!! Watched the movie for the first time in about 1988 and have been a fan since and this was an excellent inside look into the making of it. ❤️💘
Wow what a story! I love WWII stories and this true story is definitely one of my favorites. It was hard to read some of what the POWs endured, but the story, pre-war, during the war, and post-war was riveting and engaged me to the end. So glad I found this at goodwill!
Beautiful story and message here. So glad I found this book and the language of flowers!
Bailed. I'm HSP and don't want to hear about what happened to Jamie in the last book so I bailed.
Such a great book! I read it in like 3 days. Super entertaining and it made me laugh out loud!
I loved this book! So many issues that made you feel.. Happy, sad, hurt, hope. Recommended!!
25% through and thoroughly enjoying this so far. #iknowitslong #imgoingtofinish
This was a quick and captivating read about a girl who helps two hiding deserters during WWII on an island in Japan. Highly recommended read!
It was good but long and drawn out.
I liked this book. I don't normally pick suspense or a book like this but I couldn't put it down.
"...it was a common misconception that booksellers looked after books. They look after people."
Very good book. Short, enjoyable, lots of references to other books. Heartwarming.
The most annoying thing about it is that once a person gives a shit about one thing, he finds he has to start giving a shit about everything.
