Perfect spot to dig into the latest Inspector Gamache!
A weekend of reading outside on the deck, in February! Loving "On Turpentine Lane"
Had heard mixed reviews but so glad I picked it up. Really enjoyed this one!
Excited to read The Moon-Spinners! I had no idea this was a book. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, watching old movies on TV's The Wonderful World of Disney. Oh how I wanted to be Hayley Mills!
Reading my way through this series, they just keep getting better. I literally he'd my breath through the entire second half!
So many details I didn't know. I've been reading snippets out loud to whomever I can get to listen!
Another Gamache. Love him. Very sad about where this one went, left the next one in the series at home but I am hoping for redemption!
Wizard or Oz meets The Phantom Tollbooth!
Loved the snappy dialog. Intrigued by March's backstory which will probably develop over the course of the series. The solving of the mystery was a little choppy for me. I will probably read the next in the series to see if there is an evolution. Quick and fun, lots of reference to Sherlock.
Loved Call the Midwife television series. The first season covers for the most part the contents of this book. The book is funnier, Jennifer Worth has a great sense of humor. You also see the more human side of her. The show paints her in a rosier light than she paints herself.
Enjoyable. Alternative explanation of the true life disappearance of New York Supreme Court Justice Crater in the early 1930's.
Been listening to back issues (what's the appropriate term here) of All The Books! and Get Booked podcasts and this one keeps coming up over and over. Can't wait to get started!!
She imagines she'd like to explain that it's difficult to know who you are once you are alone, when you have always been there for the sake of someone else.
Perfect for a cool, rainy May Day!
What really happens to the Hindenburg? Love this imagined look into that last fateful flight.
