Cricket in the Thicket by Carol Murray. Published in 2017. Won the notable poetry and verse novels. This is a playful book with many poems about all different kind of bugs. The author also incorporates facts about each bug on each page. The illustrations are beautiful and give accurate representations of insects. They also incorporate collages of newspaper clippings and pictures that add a lot of texture.
