Went for an eye test and my prescription glasses will stay the same. Nothing special going on, just normal ageing. So to celebrate, jumping in the final book of the Faithful and the Fallen Saga
Packed my reading glasses in my checked baggage by mistake. So just staring out of the window this time. Bogota was a fun vibrant city. Now back to reading the book. Lots of things happening all over the map.
24 degrees Celsius aka reading weather. Another short story collection by Stephen King. It‘s good but I was connecting more to the‘You like it darker‘ stories
Woke up @ 2.30. Reading some of the short stories saved the night. Now, the next evening, reading - The dreamers - Hope this story doesn‘t come back to haunt me tonight. Picture is related to the story. Love the book!
Today I read a short story by TJR, and liked it. So my next book is going to be another by this author.
Read a little in the park, eating a cold pasta salad with some Kimchi. Found this for the first time in a shop here in Ecuador yesterday and have been putting it on almost everything since then.
Flew back home and took a short break from ‘The Faithful and the Fallen‘ to read Jade City. Feels like the Godfather tune played on a Chinese harp. Enjoying it so far.
Shade and a good book. I‘ll leave the beach to the others. Fun to hear happy people sounds in the background.
De zon blikkerde op het water; het licht was zo schel dat het de binnenkant van je hoofd verlichtte en iedereen zo bij je naar binnen kon kijken.
Starting my first Terry Pratchett book. People said start with this one. So far people were right. Fun read so far. Will have to read all 40 now… so many books. So little time.
I had to stop reading this book for a few months because the main characters seemed to take the worst possible decisions whenever possible. I picked the book back up last week, and the adventure and prose grabbed me. hope to read the next two books soon.
An attempt to read a book in (Argentinian) Spanish. This might take a while…
12 hour flight, time to try an audiobook. Something fluffy as we‘re in the clouds.
Started reading this yesterday and loving it so far. It made me think about the 'El Ateneo Grand Splendid' bookshop. An old renovated theatre with multiple levels, and a small coffeeshop where the stage would have been. One of the many Highlights of visiting Buenos Aires.
Going through some annoyances in life at the moment, so after reading 2 horror stories, both good btw, I needed some positive light vibes. So far this book is delivering. Listening to it on my walks and reading it when at home. Sunsets are great this time of year.
Late evening walk with a good audiobook. Perfect way to end a busy day.
I got a one month trial on Kobo books, this gives me access to Dutch language books. so the next month I might try to read some books in dutch, It has been 8 years. I remember this being a series when I was a child. Nostalgia city, here I come.
Some good quotes, not certain this is for me yet, though.
Starting today my reading experience is pool proof. Got a new paperwhite as a gift! Still enjoying Wolves of Calla.
There are worse places to read. Hammock time!
A silence in three parts...
Decided to reread the first book before diving in the second.
A power outage: how symbolic when reading a book about hiking. #candlelight reading
Those of us who frequent the band room have long suspected that Becca maintains her lovely figure by eating nothing but the souls of kittens and the dreams of impoverished children.
