I love the artwork and the story is layered and complex. Definitely a good candidate for a re-read.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I feel like I missed some things so I will have to read it again. Maybe before the next book in the series is released. Loved having all sorts of literary characters and authors running around. And the punks de lézard.

Fun adventure series based in Mayan mythology. Some of the characters can occasionally be painfully angsty; but when the action starts, it's hard to put down.

That pretty much sums it up. Good artwork. Will most likely read the next volume.

I picked this up solely for the cover; but the story was so touching. Definitely a must read for everyone.

Wow. Great post-apocalyptic read. A disease that leads to self-combustion sweeps through the country. The usual human reactions: destroy others, help others, each man for himself. But I couldn't put it down. My first Joe Hill, I may have to try another!

A friend of mine just recently got me started reading graphic novels. This is the first one that I literally could not put down. The story draws you in immediately and keeps you wondering what's next. I'm definitely looking forward to volume two. A+

This has to be the best book I've read in a LOOONG time. There were tears. And now begins the wait for the next book.

"Feminism might be better than the past, but we can do better than feminism....Many women believe that equal rights means equal behavior. But being equal doesn't mean that we're the same."

The author perfectly sums up what's wrong with feminism today and how it got here. Excellent read.

As always, the author writes a brilliant study of human character. I was never quite sure whether I liked the characters, felt sympathy for them, or downright despised them. She left me hanging in finding out things you might never get closure on in real life. Brilliant writer scores again.
