I liked it but it‘s dense and difficult. In some ways it felt it had one really good point and was dragging it out. That idea, however, is fascinating. I told everyone I was reading this book simply to try and have someone to discuss it with - it would have enhanced this experience

What the Road Said | Cleo Wade

Pickpick

Ask the road which way to go and it reveals that it is all up to you. The road encourages us no matter what we choose, and we learn any direction we choose is the right choice for us to learn.
Good for read aloud and discussion with middle grade students.

Tamra What a terrific message! 3y
youngreadrshelf @Tamra I know. I can hardly wait to share it with my students. 3y

My Curiosity through this story builds to be hefty as the author justifies how sufficient someone can teach a language in five days. The main character, Michael Thomas, was teaching students who found it usual to fail languages to gain five years worth of knowledge in five days. He made his lessons very interesting the way he taught especially how he told all his students to remove there knowledge from before an restart.

While this was much more accessible than I expected, it wasn‘t quite what I wanted. It was a lot of succinct information about a lot of topics, I was looking for more depth on some of the black swan events and the fallout from them. Penny also seems to feel it wasn‘t quite worth her attention.

Pema is an expert in the field and while it felt a bit self helpy, it hits many of the right yoga notes.

This is my nanowrimo station the past few days. On this computer is a new work, an unknown future...
And that is Mt. Hood at sunrise.
