@BookmarkTavern

Since producing two AP Literature surveys for #ThreeListThursday, I am reminded of how many classics I still want to read. Two big authors would be to read all of Shakespeare's plays and all of Dickens. I'm really enjoying the #WhatTheDickens buddy read.
Here's a link to ALL AP books on the AP Lit exam from 1970-2024 if interested:

DrSabrinaMoldenReads Thanks for this list! 2d
julieclair My goodness yes! Soooo many still to read. Thanks for the link. I, too, want to read/reread Shakespeare‘s plays, and was thinking it might be a nice challenge for 2026. (2025 is full, lol.) 2d

dabbe @julieclair Now THAT would be fun. Maybe a buddy read for the Shakespearean plays in 2026? Maybe we could do it together? 🤔🤩🤗 2d
Mollyanna Thank you for sharing the list! 2d
BooksandCoffee4Me Cormac McCarthy‘s The Road and Edith Wharton‘s The House of Mirth so that I can understand my son‘s writings on those books. 2d
BookmarkTavern Shakespeare‘s plays are a lot of fun! Thanks for posting! 2d
dabbe @Mollyanna YW! 🩶🩷🩶 2d
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me I'm intimidated by McCarthy but Love Edith Wharton ... though I've never read MIRTH. Another one on the TBR! 🤩😂🤗 2d
dabbe @BookmarkTavern I've read a few but not all! YW! 🩶🩷🩶 2d
BooksandCoffee4Me @dabbe I‘m intimidated also but my son studied his writing as an English major at Wheaton College, and he keeps encouraging me to read McCarthy. Usually I just read my son‘s reviews, like this one, which is also intimidating 😁 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6249665317 2d
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me Wowza! Your son is brilliant. This retired high school English teacher is beyond impressed! 🤩 2d
BooksandCoffee4Me @dabbe He‘s offspring of two lit majors and teachers, and his education at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL was exceptional. And yes, I read both his book reviews and his movie reviews and am blown away by how his mind works. 😊 (edited) 2d
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me Beyond awesome. 🩶🩷🩶 1d

#TLT #ThreeListThursday on Friday
Got the 2nd list done today! 3 is not enough 😄
God Of Small Things
Look Homeward Angel
Let The Great World Spin
The Jungle

dabbe And I haven't read any of your choices! More to go on the TBR! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩵🩶 4d
Leftcoastzen @dabbe I‘m happy ! There are many on those lists I mean to read , I have read Shakespeare but I forgot which ones ! The Jungle radicalized me in 6th grade. Sinclair wanted it to outrage people about treatment of workers . Teddy Roosevelt reacted more to the food safety elements. 4d
dabbe @Leftcoastzen #gobsmacked that you read THE JUNGLE in 6th grade. It's on our 12 grade. list. 🤩 4d

1. The Importance Of Being Earnest (I listened to a dramatized version of this book. I liked when the 2 guys were fighting over the sandwiches.)

2. Little Fires Everywhere (I read this with a local neighborhood book club I used to be in before Covid happened. This book was just okay but not great.)

3. The Joy Luck Club (I read this with a local neighborhood book club I was in and I also thought this book was just okay.)

#threelistthursday

dabbe I loved the movie of THE JOY LUCK CLUB but have never read the book. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩵🩶 5d
