12 of 100. Not being a Terry Pratchett reader considerably lowered my score. 😆

TheSpineView @dabbe That was my saving grace on this quiz. 7h
CBee @TheSpineView I‘ve actually never read any Pratchett 😳 5h

Lots of Terry Pratchett (but none that I have read) and Jacqueline Wilson (I haven't read any of hers). I'd like to read some of each of theirs, and my son has me intrigued by House of Leaves, so maybe I'll put that one on my list, too.

Three I was surprised by how much I liked:
1) Kim
2) All Quiet on the Western Front
3) Heidi

#ThreeListThursday #TLT @dabbe

dabbe Those two authors were all over this one, weren't they? Of your choices, I've only read HEIDI. Other two are now on the TBR! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 10h

My score reeked. Quite a few are on my TBR; I just haven't read them yet. Three faves:
1. THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING: “The fantastic thing about war was that it was fought about nothing--literally nothing.“
2. OUTLANDER (called CROSS STITCH in the UK): “I am your master…and you're mine. Seems I canna possess your soul without losing my own.“
3. THE 39 STEPS: “The men who knew that he knew what he knew had found him.”

ChaoticMissAdventures I am trying to get to once and future king I think this summer, I have had it for years and just have not gotten around to it. 1d
rubyslippersreads One of my favorite books. 1d
DGRachel I didn‘t realize Cross Stitch was Outlander! That brings my dismal total up to 16. 🤪 1d

rwmg 45 I am at a severe disadvantage never having read any Jacqueline Wilson 1d
BethM I‘ve had Once and Future King recommended to me a few times. 1d
dabbe @ChaoticMissAdventures It's in my top five of all time. It's actually 4 novellas rolled into one big chunkster. 😍 9h

dabbe @DGRachel I was only 22, so we're in good company! I looked it up because I never heard of that title by her (she lives in Scottsdale, AZ, so I know a bit about her!) Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 9h
dabbe @rwmg 🎯! Plus I've never read one Terry Pratchett either! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 9h

I scored a pathetic 15/100 (19 if you count ones I‘ve tried and bailed), which is mind-blowing when I think of the sheer number of books I‘ve read in my lifetime. I‘m always entertained when Flowers in the Attic pops up. I hated Moby Dick and will never forgive my American Lit professor for “inspiring” me to read it on my own. It took me an entire summer. #tlt #threelistthursday

dabbe It's not a pathetic score; you're in grand company with the rest of us! Now if only we'd read more by Pratchett and Wilson! 🤣 RE: Moby, I never got past “Call me Ishmael.“ 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 9h

2. The Little Prince - I liked this one.
3. Frankenstein - This book was okay.
4. Moby Dick - I read the children‘s version of this book instead of the regular version but I liked this book.
5. IT - I liked this one.
6. The Hound Of The Baskervilles - I liked this one.
7. Les Miserables - I liked this one.
8. Dracula - This book was okay.

RaeLovesToRead Right.... let's do this..... 1d

RaeLovesToRead @Bookwormjillk Do people outside the UK not know Jacqueline Wilson?????? 🤯🤯🤯🤯 1d
willaful @RaeLovesToRead I do, but I used to be a children's book reviewer. 1d
willaful Only a 29 for me and if it wasn't Terry Pratchett I probably read it for school. -) 1d
peaKnit Only 16, yikes! 😮 1d
BkClubCare I seem to have read most of the well-known classics; scoring 31. Few of the kids books and none of the Pratchett 1d
TheLudicReader 21. Another weird list. 1d
shortsarahrose 9 😆 1d
Librarybelle 15. Plus, am currently reading Les Miserables! 1d
Bookwormjillk @RaeLovesToRead might be my age? The covers looks very 1990‘s. 1d
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Only 7 from this list. A few are on my TBR, and I have seen a few film adaptations. 🫣 These lists make me laugh when they're are so many by the same authors. @RaeLovesToRead As for Jacqueline Wilson, I don't recognize the name, but I read lots of books as a kid that I have zero recollection of reading. 1d
Deblovestoread Thanks for the tag! Will do soon! 1d
bellabella Thanks for the tag!
What I would love to read: Atonement, The Once and Future King, and The Pickwick Papers 💕
1d
Cheryl_Russell 14! I have Dracula on my Kindle. I‘ve not read any Terry Prachett or Charles Dickens. Most I read as a kid or in college. Heart of Darkness, The Handmaid‘s Tale, and House of Leaves are the ones that have stuck with me for decades. 14h
BooksandCoffee4Me 23 — which seems low for an English teacher. How have I not read Silas Marner or Moby Dick?! I did enjoy going through a Thomas Hardy phase. 😊 Thanks for the tag @dabbe 💛 13h
Faranae 42 now that I know Cross Stitch is Outlander, which I hated. 😂

My recs are: Terry Pratchett, Sir Pterry, and Pratchett. 😉

dabbe @Bookwormjillk IKR? She and Pratchett were all over the place! 🤣 8h
dabbe @RaeLovesToRead You must not have read many by Pratchett or Wilson like the rest of us! Why are they so big in the UK? I bet the top 100 for next week will be much better scores for us! 🤩 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @RaeLovesToRead YES!!! 🤣 8h
dabbe @willaful I feel like Pratchett and Wilson should write a book together! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @peaKnit You're in good company with the rest of us! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @BkClubCare Same here, but your score still kicked my butt! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @TheLudicReader If only we had all read more Pratchett and Wilson! I think only one author should get one book per list. IMHO of course. Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @shortsarahrose You're in good company! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @Librarybelle 🎯🩵🎯 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick IKR? It should be one book, one author! 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @bellabella I loved ATONEMENT, TOAFK is in my top 5 of ALL time, and I have yet to read THE PICKWICK PAPERS! 😱 Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @Cheryl_Russell I reread DRACULA every year with DRACULA DAILY (https://draculadaily.substack.com/). You might want to check it out! 🎯 re: Pratchett. LOVE Dickens. Of your choices I've only read HANDMAID. The other two are now on the TBR! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me This English teacher agrees with you! 🤣 Guess we didn't teach enough Pratchett or Wilson! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
dabbe @Faranae Did you read most of the Pratchetts on the list? 'Cuz he had a ton of books on it! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 8h
RaeLovesToRead I've read LOTS of Jacqueline Wilson 🥰🥰 7h
dabbe @RaeLovesToRead I'm going to have to check her out! 😍 7h
Amiable Yikes. I‘m embarrassed by my score: only 16. Although a few I might have read when I was younger? I couldn‘t remember so I didn‘t count them. Favs include “Garp” and “All Quiet on the Western Front.” (edited) 6h
dabbe @Amiable No need to be embarrassed at all! All you had to do was read Pratchett and Wilson, and you would have been near 100! 🤣 The top 100 are next week, and I think we'll all do better on that one! Thanks for playing and sharing. 💙💚💙 5h
Faranae @dabbe I've read all the Pratchetts on the list! That's 10 of my 42 haha. Any one of them is a pretty good entry to Discworld, too. 4h
julieclair 9. Guess I need to up my Pratchett and Wilson game. 🤪 17m

#tlt #threelistthursday I scored 52 that I can remember from this list (I inhaled a LOT of books as a kid/teenager!)
there are a few faves on it but I‘ll pick out Anne, P&P, and Little Women as those I have re read the most often.

Link for quiz is from @dabbe original post

Lauredhel Of course I wanted to add Hitchhikers Guide and Handmaid‘s Tale but it‘s three not five! 4d
