I once had a stranger ask me (in a book group setting) who my favourite HP character is - and I said Ron - and she said, we can't be friends 😂 it's been awhile since I read the books so maybe in my reread I'll change my mind but I kinda doubt it. Sebastian St Cyr, gentleman sleuth and champion of the underdogs. If you enjoy historical mysteries, I do recommend the series.

Jess_Read_This @DGRachel I am in complete agreement. Kirkus reviews called it "bleak" and I was surprised bc that's not how Harris writes, in my opinion. After reading the last one, I'd call it her darkest one yet. She really sets us up for some dark times ahead with Jarvis. I definitely went through all sorts of emotions reading it. 8y
