Two of my struggling readers will be getting autographs from authors whose books they enjoyed!#TeachersOfLitsy

WanderingBookaneer @Avanders & @ravenlee : My third cry in two days. Alma was so amazed when I told her she was getting an autograph, I can‘t imagine her reaction when she learns she will have a one-of-a-kind sticker. 6y
xxjenadanxx That‘s wonderful! How encouraging this will be to your readers!! 6y

I found out about this book through Henry Miller's Stand Still Like the Hummingbird. It has been a wild ride every time I've picked it up. I've yet to finish it but I definitely will. For those who are into #surrealist works I suggest giving this a gander.

DePaepe @LitsyWelcomeWagon not sure how to hop on the welcome wagon, but I'm really interested in this site and interacting with everyone. 6y
RaimeyGallant You did it! Welcome! #litsywelcomewagon 6y

Pickpick

Soren goes for his first piano lesson, only to play a song no one has ever heard (the teacher tapes all her lessons) and fall into a coma. In this little town‘s hospital, Soren‘s dad keeps vigil. As do a silent crowd of people outside. In a calm, dispassionate style the lives of the people in the town are described: some intersecting, some not by a heartbeat. Not much happens outwardly, more contemplative. Loved most the wolf patrolling town.

I got a couple new books! I'm really excited to read Leonora Carrington's writing because I love her paintings. I learned about her work in my History of Women Artists class in college.
