I absolutely love this cover of “The Sound of Silence” by Disturbed. I struggle with this song‘s themes in my personal life as well as professionally as a teacher. While it is somber, it is also a call to something new which is what I try to emphasize in my life and and the lives of my students.

I personally believe that everyone should have a theme song. Maybe it is a song that makes you happy, gives you strength or just makes other people think of you.

I want to know yours! It can be an actually theme song or just a song, doesn‘t matter, it is yours!

LiterRohde Ok. So I geeked out a little bit. Ok. A lot. And looked at Sunday in other languages. In Basque, it looks like Sunday is Igande. You could pair that with Inquiries for IgandeInquiries. I know, it‘s too much and people wouldn‘t understand. But it was fun trying. Many things alliterating with Sunday have this private meaning but three I thought of were surreptitious, supplication, and solicitation. 6y

I am not sure it is a secret, but I hate Hatchet with a passion!! I think it has to do with what the character has to do to survive. To be clear I never finished the book because it made me physically ill and was told to stop reading it.

KatieDid927 Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao AND Outlander. Junot Diaz is deeply misogynistic and so is his writing. Oscar Wao is easily the worst Pulitzer Prize winner I‘ve read. Outlander is basically a better written Twilight with rape and torture porn sprinkled in. (edited) 6y

AsYouWish @KatieDid927 I only read the first Outlander book, I tried to keep going with the series, but I felt like it took a lot to get to the plot, there was just too much other stuff. 6y
