I have been exhausted lately so today I'm taking a day of rest. No work, no emails, no housework....nothing. I should be getting caught up on some sleep but my mind knows I should be in the office so I plan to spend the day in bed and hopefully finish this beast.

Listen to your body. It knows what it needs.

Today is #SelfCareDay! (Thanks @wanderinglynn for your post) What #selfcare are you doing today? Ideas: watch the sunset, call a friend, put clean sheets on your bed, give yourself time to get stuff done that's been nagging you, take a bath, read with a favorite snack! Today self-care looked like me taking a nap to recover from a migraine, and now reading in bed instead of working out at the YMCA. 😊 #BFC #BookFitnessChallenge #BFCr2 #BookNerdHerd

Crazeedi I talked to my sister for an hour and listened while she ranted and then felt better. And it made me happy to lend her my ear. I also worked in garden for 3 hrs, so I got some physical activity I've been lax on. I am now snuggled in a bed of clean sheets and ready to read for the evening. I also listened to a book while I was gardening! My self care day! 6y

BarbaraJean My self care this week was letting myself off the hook for some of my mid-morning walks at work. When it‘s already 88 degrees at 10am—it‘s okay to give it a pass! Then our Quiet Day at church today had the theme of grace—so many good reminders that it‘s okay to give myself grace (in fitness challenges as well as other areas of life!). 6y

bookishcow Had a self care moment by taking some time off to visit a doctor for a checkup. Putting my health first before work. 6y

wanderinglynn @Meaw_catlady @Mitch me either. Until I stumbled across it on either Facebook or instagram. We should do this every day or at least every week, but we don‘t. So I think it‘s important to have a day recognized. 6y
