@CrowCAH Hey! I've been enjoying all the #PirateLife posts during May. And what do you know, on 6/1, while cleaning I find Pirates by John Matthews. Not in the Litsy database. 2006 Book has pics and nifty envelopes that have loose pieces (like treasure map and playing cards). Cover has a red jewel for eye. I also found movie posters (from theatre) for POC movies. If you want book and posters, they're yours. I'll bring them when we do lunch. ☠️☠️☠️
Here is my own little piece of pirate #treasure. The coin is a Spanish real salvaged from the treasure ship Consolacion that sank in 1681 after a run-in with pirates.

pickCritic panned Cutthroat Island was a movie I always enjoyed. Begging my parents to re-rent it on a Friday.. watching it 4 times before returning it before 10am on a Sunday..(you kids have no clue what that even means). This book brought back the adventure, quips, escapism, pirate code,and all around fun I found as a youngster watching Cutthroat Island. It's a terrifically fun read.
