Moore desperately wanted this book to influence the 2004 election, so reading it in 2018 feels a bit bizarre. He was so sure that bringing up unfortunate Bush links to Saudi oil would change the nation‘s opinion. It‘s also a bit smug in that typical Moore style, but there‘s plenty of interesting stuff here if you don‘t mind rolling your eyes a bit and sifting through his obvious slant.
3⭐️ While I really appreciate her honesty in writing this book, it really made me sad to realize that she struggled with life as much as she did. She struggled not just with her diabetes, but also with her insecurities, her marriages, her alcoholism and her health. Mary Tyler Moore‘s voice in GROWING UP AGAIN was typical of her girl next-door persona. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/158086070704/growing-up-again-life-loves-and-...
There are all highs and lows in books, from great and complex plot lines to the damaging lack of character dynamics. This book is no exception to this dilemma. There were highs for me while reading like the interactions between each character was unique and well thought. There were also lows such as a boring plot line.
Holy crap I don't want to stop listening! I hate my big kid job cause I couldn't just sit and listen!!! I'm fascinated. #sogood #radiumgirls #katemoore #moore
