For January‘s #AuthorAMonth, I chose the first book in this children‘s series by Ursula (aka T. Kingfisher) in honor of my childhood pet hamster Squeaky. ☺️It‘s a sweet retelling (with a hilariously fun “girl power” twist!) of the Sleeping Beauty tale. Loved Ursula‘s spunky heroine Harriet, her cool illustrations and witty sense of humor. Will definitely be reading more! 🙌🏻

Look what she‘s wearing,
Rebecca — she likes big bustles
and cannot lie. 🍑

I really enjoyed this cheeky and amusing little first novel by Margery Sharp! It‘s the coming-of-age story of Ann, a girl who is surrounded by an intellectual and bohemian (and not to mention, beautiful) family, who feels she must hide her love of the “simpler things” in life.
Are you an apple or a rhododendron pie person, #FurrowedMiddlebrowClub ? 😉

January's #Authoramonth T. Kingfisher wasn't for me, but I read one of their children's books under the name Ursula Venom & it was delightful!

Cute board book about how to catch Santa. It's funny and great to read to kids up to 3, but I think grown-ups will like this book, too! #ISpyBingoDec @TheAromaofBooks
