5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Worm loves worm. No one has to be a bride and know one has to be a groom. It does not matter how things used to be, the only thing that matters is that worm loves worm. This is another way of saying Love is Love. It doesn‘t matter who you are, how you dress, or what you call yourself. The only thing that matters is her and now and that worm loves worm.

bthegood Love this books message - thx for posting - as it is now on my radar - 🌟 3y

Wow! This is one of the most profound and impactful books and I read much of it through tears. Filled with remarkable people and reads like a legal thriller, this book is about the application of the law to suit the tides of time so as not to trample the fundamental rights of every person enshrined under the Constitution - the right to marry, that right whom to marry, that right to choose whom to love and have a committed relationship with. 🙏😊

I visited the lovely #littlefreelibrary (at the right of the photo) at #equalityhouse in Kansas today and added two big stacks of books. This is right across the street from those nasty Topeka-based freaks whose name I won't speak. There are actually three painted houses now, and a community garden. #LoveWins

GingerAntics I‘ve never heard of these “Topeka freaks.” I‘ll have to google them. I‘m going to guess their a crazy hate group, though. Love they have to see this everyday, though. 6y
Bklover Love this!! 6y
goodbyefrancie @GingerAntics The call themselves a "church", but they are horrible people. I try to never use their name because I don't want them to get any more press. They are the group that protests at funerals of soldiers, or people of the LGBTQ community, or anyone who supports them. Just horrid and nasty people. I've seen them in action three times, and they have kids as young as 5 or 6 carrying signs with that verbal vomit. Should be child abuse. 6y
GingerAntics Oh I know who you‘re talking about. I didn‘t know they were from Topica. I actually watched a documentary about them after another of the daughters defected and did a TEDtalk about ending hatred. I‘d never heard for them before that. 6y

Day 17 - #together #poetrymatters

Poem written by Edgar Guest.

Edgar Guest began his career at the Detroit Free Press in 1895, where in 1904 he began writing verse for the Free Press. In 1916 Guest published A Heap O' Livin', a collection of verse that eventually sold more than one million copies. That work was followed by Just Folks (1918), Rhythms of Childhood (1924), Life's Highway (1933), and Living the Years (1949).

One of the hardest things about being a (fairly) young member of the #lgbtq community is that you lack older role models. Not only that but you really miss the opportunity to connect with older couples and learn from the ups and downs of their relationship dynamic. Ergo this book and the other queer books were a must for me to pick up. #bookhaul

#HeatOfJuly Day 24: #ISwear to love you and only you. This is a story between a worm and another worm who have fallen in love with each other, and have decided to get married. For the couple, their love is simple, clear, and uncomplicated – and they wish to spend the rest of their lives together - until they were told they couldn‘t do certain things bec that isn‘t the way things are usually done. I had a pretty good month. I also realized that unintentionally all but 2 of my books this month had #LGBTQ themes 🙌🌈 It was so hard to pick a #BestReadOfMarch since I read across so many genres this month. But you really can‘t go wrong with Marlon Bundo. So great. #ReadingResolutions #MarchStats #MagicalMarch #WrapUp #MarchInBooks

Worm loves worm.
They both decide to be the bride and groom.
Cricket says, “That isn‘t how it‘s always been done!”
So Worm and Worm change how it‘s done.
Because Worm loves Worm.

Heartbroken. Edie Windsor passed away. She sued the US for passing DOMA, allowing states to refuse recognition of same-sex marriages. I deeply admire her perseverance & courage to fight for her & others' rights. I had the honor of meeting her a few years ago when this book came out. She was such a kind soul with an infectious smile. No matter how old you are, never give up fighting for what's right. You can make a difference. 🌹💔🌈
