Though this is fiction, it is based on some true facts. I learned that there were Greek Jews who were sent to concentration camps. I never learned this is school, or if I did, I forgot about it. Albom always writes a good book, and this one was no different. I cried through some of it. Highly recommend.

😊Happy Reading 😊

I read this book in one day. I started it last night and finished this afternoon. I found it inspirational. I borrowed it thru Libby and took so many notes on my Kindle. I am going to buy it the next time I go to Mardel's Christian Store. I want my own copy to make notes and revisit. It's a great book for those who have a strong faith, those that aren't sure about some things and even those that don't know our Lord and ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read Saviour, Jesus Christ. If I took anything from this book, it is: Mostly What God Does is LOVE US! No matter what we have done, where we have been, or how far we have gotten away from Him. Highly recommend!! 5⭐️

😊Happy Reading 😊

I enjoyed this faith based memoir by Julie Chen Moonves. She takes you through how she found God at 48. Julie takes you through her struggles and triumphs throughout her life. How know, that she knows God, she sees things He has done throughout it. How things she did that she didn't realize was a sin until she learned about God. It made me look at one thing I sin in repeatedly, I think a lot of us do, that is gossiping. After listening ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read to this audiobook, I pray that God will first: forgive me for gossiping in the past; and second: He gives me strength and helps me from gossiping anymore when the devil tempts me. I want people to see Jesus in me no matter where or when they see me. I recommend this book for anyone that has a relationship with God and wants a closer one, or anyone that doesn't know God to find Him. As Julie said in the audiobook, it's never to late to start a relationship with God, after all she was 48.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙂

Loved “Watching from the Dark“ was such a good book in the DCI Jonah Sheens series. The second book left me wanting to read more of Lodge's books.

A guy, Adain, witnesses a murder on Skype. He calls the police but waits a day before. DCI Sheens finds out about the case and soon takes over. He is dealing with people that aren't telling them everything they know.

Sycamore Row: A Novel, | John Grisham

I actually finished this Tuesday night late 😊

Grisham takes us back to where it all began, with Sycamore Row. A Time To Kill introduced us to Ford County Mississippi, Jake Brigance, Carla Brigance, Lucien Willbanks, Harry Rex and Sheriff Ozzie. Three years later, Jake is still waiting on the insurance to pay for the loss of his house, when he is dragged into another major case. ⬇️

Seth Hubbard goes to church one Sunday morning, talks to everyone, makes a call to one employee to meet him at 2 by the creek, and hangs himself. Monday morning, Jake Brigance receives a letter in the mail from Seth Hubbard. Enclosed is a holographic will. Jake has just been hired for a case that will reveal a lot of secrets. One that is 60 years old.

I love John Grisham as a writer. He is my favorite legal thriller writer. He always has great character development. Sycamore Row hooked me when I read the summary at the library. It never let me go from page one. I would suggest you read Time To Kill before this one, if you haven't, because Sycamore Row brings a lot of information from the other book into it. That why you will have a concept of all the characters.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

This one was weird. I thought it would deal with a murder while golfing. Nope! It is really crazy. Each time I thought Poirot and Hastings had the killer arrested, I was wrong. It didn't keep my attention as much as the other one, but it was still good.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

I Am Death | Chris Carter

Holy Crap on a Cracker! What a read! First, let me tell you this is a very graphic, psychological thriller. If you have a queak stomach, you do NOT need to read this book or series. Second if you like a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, then read this book.

Carter had me turn page after page. I didn't want to put this book down, but alas life called and I had things that had to be done. Robert Hunter Series is so good. ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read Carter, every since the first book, has always put a red herring in the book. You would think I would quit falling for them, but he does it in such a way that I think this is definitely the killer. Of course, when I get close to the end, I
find out I was wrong , as I pick my jaw up off the ground.

If you like thrillers, suspense or serial killer books, you need to read the Robert Hunter series. Unless, you have a queak stomach, because Carter's books can be a bit gory.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

Recommended by my librarians. Another one I wouldn't have read, had they not recommended it.

A woman's fiction book that has just a little romance, but a whole lot of family drama. Finley is a subcontractor, a guardian for her niece, sister, daughter and granddaughter that has to learn to come to terms with her sisters alcoholism. Sloane is a recurring alcoholic and has given guardianship of her daughter, Aubrey, to get sister. ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read Everything starts to pile up on both Finley and Sloane. Finley wants her life back; Sloane wants a life. Can they come to terms with each other and have a chance at a happy family life?

I have no idea why the cover is what it is for this book. Talk about way off. This is set in Seattle and never by any water. Just was a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise, it was a good read, though very heavy. Alcoholism is a terrible disease to grow up with. ⬇️

I'm so bad! I went and returned 3 books to the library. Telling myself before I went in, don't look at books. You have ARC's to read, plus all the books you have on bookshelves. Well, I looked and came out with 7 🤦 Starting tagged book.
