Y‘all. Y‘ALL. I am so damn proud of myself. Here‘s my board for #BookSpinBingo for @TheAromaofBooks , and you know what I managed?
The first five are the #Netgalley books that are due the soonest. 2nd five, #Booked2021 reads (also NetGalley). 3rd, #LGBTQBingo (also also NG). 4th, #ReadHarder2021 books. 5th, #FourFoursin21 (three are NG).
I mean, I‘m proud I figured out how to overlap so many NG books. But also guilty my NG shelf is so big. 😅
pickMiles is dealing with PTSD, working as a psychiatrist in a veterans hospital, and hiding his magic from a society that wants to enslave him. And then gets the added complications of a handsome man dropping a murder victim into his lap.
I waffled on pick and so-so. I loved the gaslamp fantasy, the queer rep, the intriguing magic system. But the romance was a bit too instalove, and the 2 big mysteries get solved at once in the last hour! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
