Just came home from a trip to the library with a tote full of books for the #MarchMadnessChallenge. It might be a bit #overkill, but if I read all of these before they have to be returned #Ishouldbesolucky. #MarchMunchies ☕️One doesn't go to Jack's (a little restaurant near my house that's been there for decades) for #coffee--you go for the famed biscuits with honey-butter that come with your order. I got a little reading in before my friend arrived & Mrs. Hereward, a character in this book, tells a story about young Julian who keeps encountering creatures who want to grant him wishes. #IShouldBeSoLucky (I'd wish for another biscuit!)😋#MarchIntoOz

You Don't Have to Say You Love Me: A Memoir | Sherman Alexie

I have 2 brackets this year- one with my friends where winner gets $1500... I‘m essentially in last place 😫 (but my husband is in second!🤞🏻) & my #marchmadnesschallenge book bracket. So seeing as I probably have no chance with the first one, I‘m reading to my hearts content in hopes of winning this one! I am currently working through this pile (2 completed) and another 13 holds at the library 🤣 help!

BarbaraTheBibliophage This one is so good. But you‘ll be heartbroken and pissed at the same time. People were so cruel (knowingly and unknowingly) to these women. I loved their strength and determination to get justice. 7y

Paired with one of Australia‘s classics, the book that gave us the nickname “The Lucky Country” which was actually Horne deriding Australia, claiming our rise in power, economics & wealth was almost entirely down to luck instead of smart politics.
