pickIt‘s pretty rare that a book makes me laugh out loud #hohoho but this one did. About a single woman navigating life in 1950s London - Mildred is one of those “excellent women” who can be counted on to make tea, man booths at church bazaars and generally sacrifice themselves and their time for others since clearly they have nothing better to do since they have no husband or children to care for... Pym‘s humor is subtle and wry. #SeasonsReadings

I love this Santa book. The first Christmas I had children I splurged on Amazon and bought a pile of old fashioned Christmas books. Now on Christmas Eve (despite it being warm and sunlit until 830 at least) they make hot chocolate and get out blankets and read them aloud to me instead. 😊💕
In order to survive this last week of teaching before break, I am dressing festively (i.e. comfortably) every day. Here‘s today‘s holiday shirt. #hohoho #seasonsreadings
